Hi all

We've edited the title now. If there's anything else we can do, just give us a shout. flowers

Marydoll Sun 19-Aug-18 13:54:36

muffinthemoo, I was going to suggest you join us, but after reading another thread, I have just realised that you have been in hospital. Good luck with your pregnancy.

Marydoll Sun 19-Aug-18 12:46:58

That would be brown sauce then, in Glasgow it's tomato!
(Strange tastes , those Edinburgh natives have, No offence ladies.grin )

muffinthemoo Sun 19-Aug-18 12:42:27

No lie Marydoll. I was never so cold as when I lived through my first winter in Edinburgh. That bloody wind! I couldn’t even get a poke of chips to heat me up without someone tryimg to put ‘sauce’ on it

Marydoll Sun 19-Aug-18 12:41:44

Elizabeth, please check your emails. smile

Marydoll Sun 19-Aug-18 12:39:00

muffinthemoo, as it's Edinburgh, you would be better bringing an umbrella and a fur coat. grin

muffinthemoo Sun 19-Aug-18 12:31:54

I’m going to come and sit in sunglasses and a big hat and watch jealously from afar grin wink

Marydoll Sun 19-Aug-18 12:06:24

I have contacted GN HQ to ask if Edinburgh can be added to the title.

Elegran Sun 19-Aug-18 11:30:49

Eleven certainties and a few more possibles have found the thread, Elizabeth1 so it can't be too invisible.

Elizabeth1 Sun 19-Aug-18 10:58:08

Thank you Marydoll do what you think will get this post on the right track. Much appreciated

I’ve added another name to the list please let me know if I miss anyone out. shock

Ah. I thought it was a post that had been altered elsewhere.

Yes, HQ can edit thread titles. I know this because once ai spelt a person's name wrong in a thread title. I asked HQ to correct it and they did.

Elegran Sun 19-Aug-18 08:30:19

GN have just clearly altered the title of another thread, so it seems it is possible.

Marydoll Sun 19-Aug-18 07:58:54

We could ask GHIQ if we can alter the name of the thread or I could post a new thread, directing everyone to the "Lunch" thread and put in the link..
I'm sure there are a few other posters in the Edinburgh area. I'm happy to do it Elizabeth smile

Marydoll Sun 19-Aug-18 07:55:48

Oh, great to see so many, we will have fun! grin

Brunette10 Sun 19-Aug-18 07:54:11

I would also like to join in time permitting. I say that as our DD is due to have baby around then. I shall keep looking for any updates . Just saw this one!

oldgoat Sun 19-Aug-18 07:08:47

Please, may I join you on the 28th, too?

Elizabeth1 Sun 19-Aug-18 06:56:50

And moving on - so very sorry I’ve not put Edinburgh on this topic. Is there any way I can still do it. Who’s the IT boffin then can you tell it’s not me. Thank you to those kind people who have messaged others to alert them to our date.

I'm hoping to come too. Thanks to Jangran for letting me know. I haven't tried the Waverley so that'll be something different. It will be good to see you again.

Jane10 Sat 18-Aug-18 14:39:53

What a shame Katek but understandable. See you next time I hope!

Katek Sat 18-Aug-18 13:59:32

Thanks for the heads up Jane- I’d lost touch with the thread.

I’m soooo disappointed but I can’t make this meetup. My nephew and his family are coming up to Aviemore from Kent that same weekend and we haven’t seen them since their wedding 5 years ago! There are now two little great nieces whom I’ve never seen so we’re having a bit of a family ‘do’ that weekend.

Hopefully I’ll manage Xmas lunch (presuming we’re having one??) as long as it’s after 10th December! I have village Xmas lights, panto and dh has a big birthday the first week, but will be in state of collapse from 10th onwards and in need of reviving!

Enjoy your lunch everyone! ?
