Anyone else in SE France?

We live near Evian-les-Bains [now there's a surprise]! so are wondering whether there are any others who might live in our part of the world, or neighbouring Switzerland which is only 17 kms down the road from us one way, and 45 kms the other to Geneva. FYI haven't lived in UK since 1975 so no longer feel at home there, having lived all over the world. Please contact if you are close by. Thank you

Yes in many ways we certainly are. Close to GVA airport for one thing, making flights within Europe easy. We are also in Swizzle quite often but oh the prices! Here in our local Lidl not long ago, aubergines were on special offer at 99c per kg. Same week in Migros [big supermarket chain there] also on special offer at CHF4.99 per kg. Prices are horrendous but then of course the very high salaries and low taxes compensate. Most of our neighbours are "frontaliers" so have the best of both worlds. We only came here after retirement, but are definitely not complaining!

Why don't you try on there? Or there's a new forum. I'm sure you'll find someone near you.
My user name was't Fennel - I changed it on here because it was too personal.
We lived in the Gers for 16 years and have recently returned to the UK.
