I am still waiting for the booking to be confirmed, so don't put it in your diaries just yet. They are probably busy at this time in the evening.

Suits me too, menu sounds good. It’s not going up the stairs, it’s coming down after a nice glass of mulled wine.?you’ve had a busy day Elegran, thank you. Brunette.

How does Wednesday 12th Dec strike you? If no objections by 18.00 hours, I shall try for that.

Looks fine to me. I managed the 27 steps last week (slowly but OK)
Very detailed content info on menu!

Slight progress - one out of two . "Regarding your questions, we can provide gluten-free options and the main entrance has 27 steps to get to the Cranston's Restaurant." The menu was re-sent but I still can't see it.

Elegran Mon 01-Oct-18 16:07:20

I've emailed the Old Waverley to ask about dates that week, plus how are they about gluten free and do they have a lift up to the restaurant. Nice quick reply and they seem to think they will be able to accommodate us - but they forgot the festive menu that they said they were attaching, and have not answered either question. I've just emailed again!

Katek Mon 01-Oct-18 15:22:14

I agree with Jane’s suggestion......pick a date and see who can make it. Time isn’t really on our side for a Cmas booking so the less delay the better.

Marydoll Mon 01-Oct-18 14:40:50

Thanks Elegran for organising.
I have nothing on in Dec yet. If I know the date well in advance I can forewarn DIL and ask her not to work that day.grin
I agree with Jane, that hotel was great value and the company was good too!

Elegran Mon 01-Oct-18 13:21:04

You are right Jane I'll see whether they have a lift, then see if they can acommodate 15 - 20 of us within the the relevant dates

Brunette10 Mon 01-Oct-18 13:00:15

So far I have nothing in diary for December so open to dates.
I'll get my thinking cap on re venues. Brunette

Jane10 Mon 01-Oct-18 12:58:59

Why not just set a date and that's that? Otherwise you could be faffing about trying to suit everyone until there's nowhere left who can accommodate us. That hotel was good btw. Good location and reasonable price.

Elegran Mon 01-Oct-18 11:57:31

That narrows it down no end. If everywhere is full, we may end up on benches in the gardens with a carrier bag of sandwiches, a box of vino and twenty straws!

GeminiJen Mon 01-Oct-18 11:40:31

Ooops! Have just read Katek's post on the other thread.
...so, if we're looking at December 10 onwards (?), that week is fine.

GeminiJen Mon 01-Oct-18 11:35:49

Are we aiming for the first two weeks?
If so, all clear!

Elegran Mon 01-Oct-18 10:29:59

Who is interested and which days are impossible for you? I feel a bit of date elimination coming on, which will probably end up with the conclusion that you can't please all of the people all of the time. Ideas, venues, etc welcomed.
