It is around 1/4 mile walk from the station and also there are many buses from same station.

Hi Charleygirl5

Thank you for getting in touch. Harrow’s not too far if meeting point is near a tube station?

Charleygirl5 Thu 03-Jan-19 22:25:45

Welcome SusiQ is Harrow too far away? We meet monthly and have done for over 3 years.

Loopylou and Niobe, I’ve put a new post on the Redbridge Meet-up forum. Thanks.

Niobe Thu 03-Jan-19 14:34:57

SusiQ , look at the Redbridge Meetup thread. I think there are two Redbridge threads. It might be an idea for Loopyloo to get the old one deleted.
Next Meetup is Thursday 17 th of January at 11am in the George pub opposite Wanstead Underground station. The station has escalators and there is a car park next to the George.
We usually have tea/ coffee and a natter and lunch if anyone wants. Do come along.

Hi Loopyloo(love the name)

That’s very kind and I would definitely be interested in joining you. However, had a look at the Redbridge posts but the last post made on there seems to have been March 18. Have I missed something?

Hi there. We meet in East London at Wanstead once a month. You are very welcome to meet us! See the Redbridge Meetup.

I’m so disappointed that there have been no replies from grans anywhere near me. Even anywhere in north London could be doable I’m sure. Maybe a little more time needed?

Hi Nandalot. I’ve lived in this area for 50 years, about 10 mins walk from St Stephens church. There doesn’t seem to be any Gransnet events/groups anywhere near me at all. Hopefully my post will be fruitful. Happy new year.

Hi you lovely ladies.

I've just joined Gransnet after hearing a lovely lady speak on BBC Radio London. Why haven't I heard of it before?!

I live in the Winchmore Hill area of north London. I've had a helluva 2018 and want to make 2019 a much more positive, fun-filled year. So, whether you are near me or not, it would be so nice to hear from any of you like brunching, lunching, dining, and/or plain old chatting, and then we could see what we could come up with.
