Marydoll hope that cold doesn't worsen and keep you away from the Concert Hall meet.Hot lemon with a wee drop of the hard stuff!

I'm a tough old bird, it will take more than a cold to keep me away. I will wear a mask to keep my germs to myself! .
At least everyone will be able to find me: The lady in the white mask, with streaming eyes and barking like a dog !

Only kidding, I'm not that bad, looking forward to tomorrow.
We just need to confirm numbers.

I consider myself a tough old bird too Marydoll Always the one running about looking after others however, what started off as a sore throat on Tuesday soon became achy limbs and a high temperature which, although not flu I feel completely wiped out. Even drowning in honey/lemon/hot toddies hasn’t had the desired effect??

So disappointed I can’t make this one..

Next time, perhaps? Hope you feel better soon!

I’m REALLY sorry but I have to miss this afternoon’s meet up. DH fell last night and I have finally persuaded him to let me take him to A&E. At worst he’s broken a bone in his hand, at best it’s just a bruised and very painful thumb! Have a great afternoon, and please arrange another date to meet up soon!

Morning - I'm on my way!! Enjoying a beautiful journey through Perthshire at the moment - Scotland at it's finest. Can't see keyboard for sunshine but that's not a complaint. I see we are down in numbers so if I tell you am wearing a flowery patterned coat maybe someone can give me a wave - I'll probably be last to arrive.

Hope the Glasgow GNers are enjoying getting together this afternoon! I hope to be at the next meet up.
Good news about DH. He hasn’t broken anything, just severely damaged an already arthritic wrist ... painkillers and lots of TLC prescribed.
No criticism of NHS Crosshouse Hospital .. into A&E, seen by a doctor, X-rayed and reassured ... all in less than an hour. We’re so fortunate to have such good service at the point of need.

Got my train easily and back in time for the five o'clock bus round the loch.

Here I am! It's me, Marydoll You didn't think I would stay quiet for long, did you?
What a lovely afternoon, spent with lovely ladies. I had a great time and I'm looking forward to the next one.

I was involved in an incident on the way home. My tights kept falling down and half way down Renfield St, I realised they were at my knees. . I looked like my wee grandaughter, who always has a builder's b**.
However, there was no hiding place. Glasgow was "jumping", as they say. I dashed into a corner and surreptiously tried to pull them up, not realising that the dark corner was actually the smoked glass window of a restaurant and I was the entertainment.
I managed to get to Central Station, with my hand in my pocket, trying to hold them up.
Try doing that wearing a wrist splint, a carrying awalking stick and two bags. ?
Once inside the station, I realised I would just have enough time to sort myself in the loo, with minutes to spare before my train.
In I went, fumbled for coins, (Yes I'm one of those old ladies, who holds up the queue). I eventually located the necessary coins, when a voice shouted, "The turnstile is open, you don't need coins!".
I rushed in , raced to a cubicle and heard a lot of male laughter, directed at me.
I was in the gents! ?

I hope everyone got home safely.
We are hoping to meet up after Easter and hopefully there will be an Edinburgh one before that.
