Hi all

I put in a post recently re anyone in Enfield interested in meeting up. Unfortunately I got no responses from anyone in my area which was disappointing. I did however get 2 invitations from members in Greater London which was really kind and I’ll definitely take them up on this and join them. I also got some lovely messages from Grans in other areas.

I’m just being proactive and trying again for my area. London is a huge place and there must be many members of Grandnet living in north London who may want to join a Meet-up for this area and nearby peripherals for coffee and chat. Come on Grans, let’s get started!!

Hi, I'm in North London (near Seven Sisters) and be interested in meeting up: I'm new to this and only a gran since Wednesday!

Welcome, Dr DB

Hi,

I have just joined, having become a granny on Wednesday! Be happy to meet up with others - I'm in Tottenham.

Thanks for sorting out yesterday's meet up SusiQ and it was lovely to meet everyone. Another coffee morning next month would be good.

loopyloo Fri 15-Feb-19 17:33:38

Very enjoyable morning, many thanks. Yes, would be glad to meet next month.

SusiQ Fri 15-Feb-19 16:41:10

Thank you to the lovely ladies who met up for coffee this morning for the first time. It was lovely to meet you and put faces to names.

If you’re up for it, I’ll try to arrange another coffee morning in a month or so?

Others welcome too of course.

loopyloo Fri 15-Feb-19 10:11:51

On my way bit might be a bit late. Coming on the trains.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

loopyloo Wed 13-Feb-19 15:49:34

That's Milk and Honey, the cafe.

loopyloo Wed 13-Feb-19 13:26:19

Yes, just confirming that I will be at milk and honey in Palmers Green on Friday at 10.30. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

SusiQ Tue 12-Feb-19 08:19:34

Just touching base again to confirm arrangements for this coming Friday, 15th February.

At this minute, Philomena, Loopyloo and possibly 1 other will be meeting at 10.30am in Milk and Honey cafe in Palmers Green.

Best place to park is Morrison’s in Palmers Green. Turn right out of Morrison’s onto Aldermans Hill, walk couple hundred yards towards T junction with Green Lanes, cross over the road onto Green Lanes. You’ll see Superdrug to your left. Milk and Honey is a little way further up to the right.

Please private message me if you have any other questions and Philomena, Loopyloo and anyone else who would like to join us, please confirm before Friday, 15th. Will be great to see you.

SusiQ Sun 03-Feb-19 23:24:26

Ok, let’s stick to 15th so as not to complicate things.

Milk and Honey is just opposite the Triangle on Green Lanes, a few doors up from Superdrug, opposite old Inn on The Green pub.

Loopyloo, great that you can join us.

loopyloo Sun 03-Feb-19 20:37:56

Hi, I can come on the 15th . Looking forward to it.

Ph1lomena Sun 03-Feb-19 16:15:37

I'm happy to go ahead with the 15th or, equally, rearrange to another day but I can't do 14th. I don't know the Milk & Honey but I'm sure it will be fine.

SusiQ Sun 03-Feb-19 09:07:19

Sorry Cangran, I overlooked your post.

Philomena, Do you want to go ahead and meet on 15th Feb or, as an alternative, can you both do Thursday, 14th Feb instead?

SusiQ Sat 02-Feb-19 18:48:35

Created a post earlier re 15 Feb but doesn’t look like it’s gone through.

Right, looks like 3 of us (possibly 4 with a lady who doesn’t want to post publically) are definite for 15th Feb. Cangran, Philomena and myself. A good start. I’m looking at Milk and Honey cafe about 1 minute’s walk from Morrisons.i e not been in there but it’s always busy which is a good sound. How does that sound? Let me know. Not set in stone of course.

Anyone else like to join us?

cangran Sat 02-Feb-19 14:34:44

Sorry SusiQ, I can't make 15th Feb but hope you have a good chat over coffee, whether two of you or 20!

SusiQ Sat 02-Feb-19 09:50:38

Ok folks. Friday, 15th it is. Three of us are definite. Me, Cangran and Philomena. I’ll confirm which cafe next week.
Wach this space!

If anyone else would like to join us you’re very welcome. Just let me know.

cangran Thu 31-Jan-19 11:56:16

Sorry, I can't make 15th Feb (going to Chichester early) but please go ahead and hopefully there will be another date later on I can make. Have fun in one of Palmer's Green's cafes ladies!

SusiQ Wed 30-Jan-19 18:01:28

Great Philomena. We'll wait now to see if date/place/time suits the others who are interested.

Ph1lomena Wed 30-Jan-19 17:35:36

Friday 15th Feb is fine for me - thanks for organising SusiQ.

SusiQ Wed 30-Jan-19 11:20:57

Hi all

Good to hear from you again.

Sorry, my fault, but just to clarify, I wasnt suggesting for a minute that we meet for coffee at Morrison’s in Palmers Green! Simply that it is a good place to park for 2 hours. Once you confirm that this is ok, I will chose one of the many little cafes literally within very short distance from Morrison’s for us to meet and then give you the details. Enfield is very difficult to park without incurring parking charges and I would like to avoid that.

So, as a starting point, can I suggest Friday, 15th February at 10.30 am? Hopefully this will be ok for Cangran and Philanena. Nannynoodles will be away for a few weeks. Zena and Lille? Look forward to hearing your responses.

cangran Tue 29-Jan-19 19:17:56

Small world! Lots of nice cafes in Palmers Green close to Morrisons - I like MyTime and Le Grand Jour on Green Lanes (Stage is good but a bit small), Baskervilles or Starfish on Aldermans Hill or, closer to Winchmore Hill (Sainsburys car park?) there is Chi Chi. Or Malones in Enfield Town. It's beginning to sound like I spend a lot of time in cafes! I'm fine with whatever is easiest for everyone. My best days are usually Thursday or Friday.
