Hi any Lincolnshire folk here?

callgirl1 Sun 18-Aug-19 18:13:14

I`ll be there Scribbles! And if you ever meet up at Thomas 2 in Lincoln again, count me in, their all day breakfast was lovely!

Scribbles Sun 18-Aug-19 17:13:58

We'll let you know about the next Lincoln gathering, too, Keeper.

Julie64, I hope you can make it to Grantham next week but, if not, then maybe the next one in Lincoln.

Keeper1 Sun 18-Aug-19 16:37:39

I will book time off and with enough notice I can make a Lincoln meet up too x

Scribbles Sun 18-Aug-19 16:30:04

Right, then!
Let's say Thursday 29th August at the Angel & Royal. About 12;30 for 1pm?

I'll give them a call next week and book a table for us. Look forward to seeing you all.smile

Lynker, a couple of us get together in central Lincoln fairly often. It'll be sometime in September when we next do it but I'll let you know when we've fixed a date.

Lynker Sun 18-Aug-19 14:05:35

Hi,
Grantham is not really very convenient for me, but if you ever meet up in Lincoln, I would try to be there.

Julie64 Sun 18-Aug-19 13:28:46

Hi,
I’m in a village just outside Lincoln.
Would love to meet up.

Keeper1 Sun 18-Aug-19 12:30:13

Happy to go along with date that you decide I just need time to arrange leave from work

Scribbles Sun 18-Aug-19 10:29:39

I've now heard from Jeannie99, who could join us on any of those August dates if we make our minds up! Keeper1?? Any thoughts? Anyone else??

PS. If my favourite village pub, not far from here, ever stops serving the best fish & chips in the world, I shall have to move to Boston!

callgirl1 Sat 17-Aug-19 22:38:28

OK by me. The Angel and Royal was OK, the fish and chips weren`t bad Scribbles! By the way, you know the place where we had those fish and chips in Boston? The manager there has just opened a new place of his own, in the market place, I`m trying to find out if they deliver!

Scribbles Sat 17-Aug-19 17:45:08

What about the 28, 29 or 30 August, in Grantham? I'll PM a couple of others to see if they could make it on one of those days.

If so, shall we go for the Angel & Royal again? The food was OK although not wonderful - but I think, last time, we were too busy talking to notice! At least, it's quiet with no raucous music and there's a nice area where you can have coffee/drinks and talk....

callgirl1 Sat 17-Aug-19 14:34:56

I`m easy, I`ll go with the flow, looking forward to another meet up.

Keeper1 Sat 17-Aug-19 14:22:13

I am ok for last week in August, most of September at the moment but my son maybe coming up for a visit. I am off,on the 9th Sept taking husband to doctors so could do that day. 15th to 18th ok for me too

callgirl1 Sun 11-Aug-19 17:19:07

October 8th is out for me

Scribbles Sun 11-Aug-19 16:30:40

Shall we do Grantham again? It's reasonably easy to access for Callgirl, Nandalot, Keeper and me so that's 4 of us and others may wish to join in.

I would certainly prefer Monday to Friday but might manage a Saturday with due notice.
What dates are we all available?
For the record, currently, I can't do 20 Aug, 27 Aug, 3 -10 Sept inclusive, 12 Sept, 17 Sept, 1 Oct, 3 Oct.

Let's sort out our calendars and make this meet up happen!

callgirl1 Sat 10-Aug-19 22:23:44

I`m willing to go with the flow, it`d be nice to meet more people.

Keeper1 Sat 10-Aug-19 19:43:32

Hi,

So would we be looking at a Monday to Friday meet up, as I will need notice to get time off work. I am happy to meet up, Grantham, Sleaford, Newark or any places in between. It would be lovely to meet up.

BeenBizzy Mon 29-Jul-19 19:35:12

I don't mind where the meet up is........ I have to drive to get there...
No buses where I live.

callgirl1 Mon 29-Jul-19 16:30:17

Grantham`s fine for me, but would consider Newark as I`ve never been. Would love a Springfields meet, but there aren`t any buses there from Boston, it means going all the way to Spalding then bussing back to Springfields.

Scribbles Sun 28-Jul-19 22:08:55

Spalding/Springfields is awkward for me.

I've done some research and Nandalot was quite correct when she said up-thread that there aren't really any decent cafés in Sleaford aside from the NCCD which is a hike from the station.

Maybe Grantham or Newark would suit more people?

Sarahmob Sun 28-Jul-19 21:01:16

Hi, I’m in Boston, would love to meet up sleaford or Springfield’s would suit me fine.

BeenBizzy Sun 28-Jul-19 20:39:34

Hi there,
lovely to see you all.
I live in a village in South Lincs. Would love to join you
for coffee. Have car can travel.
What about Springfields...... Coffee and shops....

Bee. [ smile]

BeenBizzy Sun 28-Jul-19 20:30:19

Hi........ I am in Surfleet, nearer Spalding than Boston by a few miles. So nice to see you all.

How about Springfields. There's several places to choose from for coffee etc.. Plus the shops to have a look around. .

Bee.

Nandalot Fri 05-Jul-19 22:31:22

I’m not sure that there are any cafes near the station in Sleaford ( looking at Google). There is a cafe in the National Centre for Craft and Design which had some lovely cakes last time we went. Good parking but not really walkable from the station for anyone with limited mobility so would mean a taxi.
I can’t do from 6th to 20th August as Spanish family are coming over. Other dates are more flexible at the moment.

callgirl1 Fri 05-Jul-19 22:01:09

Oooh, I`ve never been to Sleaford! Mind you, I`ve only lived in Boston for 42 years!

Scribbles Fri 05-Jul-19 19:14:16

PS to my previous post. What about Sleaford as a venue? No idea where but the town is fairly central and has trains and buses for non-profits.
