Hi any Lincolnshire folk here?

Keeper1 Sat 05-Oct-19 16:36:37

Hi Bingbong I work in Newark same here work really does get in the way.

Bingbong Wed 02-Oct-19 10:40:27

Hi Keeper1, I'm just outside Newark so pretty central for a number of places and I have a car so travel not a problem - it's just work that gets in my way! No hols or days off in term time allowed.

Scribbles Tue 01-Oct-19 09:37:08

Oh dear! Looks like Jeanie and I will be eating all the cake. Hope to get together with some of you another time. cafe

Nandalot Mon 30-Sep-19 20:14:16

I am sorry that I can’t make it this time. Hopefully next time.

CBBL Mon 30-Sep-19 17:08:50

I'm in Louth, some 50 miles from Boston. Anyone closer to this area? Grimsby is 19 miles away from me and Lincoln about 30.

callgirl1 Mon 30-Sep-19 17:01:45

Sorry Scribbles, I thought I was coming tomorrow, but have now found that I can`t make it. Will look forward to the next time xx

Keeper1 Mon 30-Sep-19 13:52:15

Bing bong same for me I work full time at the moment so only have weekends unless I take annual leave. Where are you I am in Brant Broughton?

Bingbong Sun 29-Sep-19 13:45:30

Hi, I’d love to meet up with some of you sometime. I’m in the Lincs/Notts area and Lincoln or Grantham are easy for me. I’m a bit restricted by working in a school and can only do weekends or sch hols. So please remember me if the dates are Saturdays or the next half term between 21 Oct - 1 Nov smile

Scribbles Tue 24-Sep-19 12:57:34

Short notice, I know, but there will be at least two GNers at Thomas2, St Swithins Square, Lincoln next Tuesday (1st Oct) at 11am.

It would be great if some more could join us!

Keeper1 Mon 23-Sep-19 20:01:59

Hello GladysB nice to meet you and hope see too

callgirl1 Sun 22-Sep-19 22:54:32

Hi GladysB, keep your eye on this thread, there`ll be another meet before too long.

GladysB Sun 22-Sep-19 11:12:25

Hi I'm in North Lincs, I'd love to join a meet up if you ever venture this way, or in Lincoln as that's an easy journey for me.

Keeper1 Fri 30-Aug-19 20:10:51

I absolutely agree x

callgirl1 Thu 29-Aug-19 22:18:03

I second that!

Scribbles Thu 29-Aug-19 20:14:08

My pleasure, Nandalot. I agree, we should certainly try to fit in another one before the end of the year. ?

Nandalot Thu 29-Aug-19 18:56:19

Thanks you for organising the meet-up, Scribbles. A very enjoyable lunch/ afternoon. Lovely to meet you all. Hope we can arrange something again soon.

Scribbles Tue 27-Aug-19 11:19:26

That's good, CG1. We won't start without you!
I'll book the table later.smile

callgirl1 Mon 26-Aug-19 17:15:09

I`ll be a little later than the 12.30 pm suggestion, as my train doesn`t get in until 12.41 pm, but I WILL be there!

Scribbles Fri 23-Aug-19 09:58:02

A reminder that the Grantham meet up is happening next Thursday, the 29th. Currently, there are 5 of us booked (Julie64 can't make it but we hope to see her next time.)

Any other intrepid GNers will be very welcome. Just let us know here so we can include you in the table booking.

As for how to recognize each other for the newcomers - just look for a gathering of very talkative women! In fact, there's a comfortable seating area in front of the reception desk, just inside the main hotel entrance and I suggest we gather there. Anyone who arrives early can brace herself with a very good cup of coffee or a stiff gin. As an aside, the first time we met at the Angel & Royal, I arrived early and didn't know anyone else. There was a group of women gossiping away in a corner so I assumed they were GN and went over to introduce myself. They were a pleasant and cheery bunch but seemed a bit nonplussed by a stranger bounding up announcing "Hi, I'm Scribbles!". As it turns out, they were the local Townswomen's Guild! Ho hum...

Seriously, don't worry. The place isn't so big. We'll find each other.?

jeanie99 Sun 18-Aug-19 23:12:26

Thanks Scribbles for all the sorting out, as anyone told you you'd make a great PA.

Nandalot Sun 18-Aug-19 20:50:14

Looking forward to meeting up again. Good of you to get us sorted, Scribbles.

callgirl1 Sun 18-Aug-19 20:45:31

Well, I`ll recognise Scribbles, Jeannie99, Nandalot and Sarahmob, we found each other the first time, so we`ll probably manage. In Birmingham a few years back we all decided to wear purple and green, suffragette colours!

Keeper1 Sun 18-Aug-19 19:31:10

How will we recognise each other? A red rose and a rolled up newspaper?
