We could get a date set for a Burns lunch, and a list started by the New Year. Are there any dates that are NOT possible for those who would like to come?

Thanks @Elegran. Look forward to meeting you again.

Katek Tue 14-Jan-20 11:06:25

How about fish and chips very soon Elegran? grin

Elegran Tue 14-Jan-20 11:18:26

Here, here, Katek!

Grammaretto Tue 14-Jan-20 14:29:04

I am coming on the 20th.

With or without spare knitting wool? Cascats?

Katek, I'm up for a Feb jaunt.
I popped into the Portrait Gallery this morning . There's a wonderful photo exhibition, old photographs of Scotland. I only had time to see a bit. I think it finishes on the 16th Feb

Sorry folks, I’m going to have to pull out of this meet up. Just had bottom braces fitted (teeth, not bottom!) and I can’t eat anything but slop at the moment. If this doesn’t improve it will be the best diet ever!!!

Grammaretto Sat 18-Jan-20 17:49:24

Oh EllieB52 what a shame. You could always have a liquid lunch?
Braces for the bottom sound quite pretty

Just wanted to say my post viral, sleep deprived brain posted that 20th was DH’s birthday ? That was his late Father’s b/day.....they shoot horses, don’t they??

What actually was happening on the 20th is GP/Dental apps..

Do I hear a sigh of relief that ‘ fuddled brain’ can’t make it??

Have a great get together tomorrow every one

cascats Sun 19-Jan-20 16:43:05

Looking forward to tomorrow, and finally relieving Grammaretto of her wool! smile

Elegran Sun 19-Jan-20 17:01:24

And Marelli has some wool of mine that she took to Fife because she thought she would see you to hand it over - you are going to be loaded down.

Marelli Sun 19-Jan-20 18:00:07

Cascats now has her wool, Elegran. ☺️

Marydoll Sun 19-Jan-20 18:26:25

I hope you all have an enjoyable lunch tomorrow. I'm so disappointed I can't come!☹️

cascats Sun 19-Jan-20 18:30:53

My mum will be so chuffed when I take all this down to her, its her knitting and crocheting for her charities which keeps her sane (her words, not mine I add!). Thank you both.

Jane10 Sun 19-Jan-20 20:07:17

I'm so sorry I can't be there! Have a great time everyone. ???

Elegran Sun 19-Jan-20 20:21:00

See you all tomorrow, then, So sorry about those who can't make it, you will all be missed. We will raise our glasses to you (or maybe our coffee cups)

After this, it seems the next meet-up will be for fish and chips in St Andrews, unless it would be better to stick to less exposed locations until the weather is a bit more like spring? In that case, it could be fish and chips somewhere else? There will be a new thread about it next week.

Hope you all had a great time today ladies ?

oldgoat Mon 20-Jan-20 16:19:46

Caught my train by the skin of my teeth! I never want to leave these meetups when there's still so much talking to be done.

Thanks for organising the meal Elegran. Looking forward to the 'Fish and chips' meet up now.

Marydoll Mon 20-Jan-20 16:22:10

Safe journey, Old Goat! Missed catching up with you! sad

Marelli Mon 20-Jan-20 17:39:33

Wish I could've been with you all. Here's to the next one. ?

baubles Mon 20-Jan-20 20:28:15

Great craic today. Thanks everyone, especially Elegran for organising another smashing day.

We forgot to get a photo until we were one down however I didn’t confirm that everyone is ok for me to post it so could you all let me know please.

Elegran Mon 20-Jan-20 20:34:52

You can post it IF you weed out the ones where I look like a half-witted old woman, Baubles If I don't smile I look grumpy, and if I do I look manic. I can't win.

Grammaretto Mon 20-Jan-20 21:47:31

Thanks Elegran for organising us. It was really lovely to see you all again although we could have blethered for a lot longer. I think there may have been one photo which wasn't too bad of any of us - I would leave it to your discretion baubles grin were there 8 of us?

baubles Mon 20-Jan-20 21:57:21

In the photo there’s me, Elegran, Cascats, GeminiJen, Grammaretto and Oldgoat.

Marelli Tue 21-Jan-20 05:18:34

Lurkio's hospital appointment ran on, then she got stuck at roadworks on way back, so she was sorry to have missed you all. Hopefully, will be able to come to next meetup. ?

Grammaretto Tue 21-Jan-20 07:32:03

Sorry to hear that Marelli. Poor Lurkio. I hope the hospital was worth the wait. See you next time in Fife I believe. smile
