Wokingham / Berkshire meet up

I think I would prefer Squires.
Their chairs are a bit more forgiving!
But if Holme Grange is favourite, that's fine.

I like the ambiance of the craft centre (apart from the loud coffee machine) but the chairs are more comfortable at Squires and it is nice to look round the garden centre too. There were roadworks when I passed that way yesterday but hopefully they will have gone by June.

I'll be happy with either Squires or Holme Grange.Looking forward to it.

Thanks for being our scout Penny.It sounds like a lovely place to go but not suitable for our meet up as we would all need cars to get there and parking would be a problem. I suggest the that we revert to either Squires or Holme Grange. Please let me know which you would prefer. At least we have found a date suitable for all.

Dear All, the Hive has character and the coffee is good, full of dogs which is great (and noisy!) if you are a dog lover.... fortunately I am! There is limited parking right outside and in a free car park over the road where I got the last empty space this morning. So, nice place but not reliably convenient - I would suggest its not ideal. Both Squires and Holme Grange are fine with me but also open to any suggestions anyone else has. x

Thanks Penny. We await your comments on The Hive before deciding on a venue. I should have said that we are a small and friendly group but would be delighted if others in the area would care to join us. You would be assured of a very warm welcome.

I haven't heard about The Hive but Crowthorne Station isn't far away. I might take a look if I'm passing that way.

Pennyjw hopes to come and should be able to fit in with any plans. So far we have just excluded Mondays.

I'd love to meet up. Mondays aren't great, but at a pinch I could probably manage that. Crowthorne/ Wokingham - perfect for me but have car, will travel! And I'll try to be on time and on the right day.

Nice to hear from you Deedaa. Mondays are difficult for me too. We can’t compete with the Glesca Grannies for numbers but hopefully half a dozen of us can get together for chat and a cuppa.

I think it is about time we began thinking about another meet up. It is always difficult finding a date to suit everyone so I thought if we started now for a date and venue in early June that might be helpful. Any suggestions? We usually meet in Wokingham/Crowthorne but we could consider elsewhere if there is a need. Let me know your thoughts.
