Sex after menopause

Hi i hope this ok to post, but I'm sure it will be removed if not! I had my last period about 3 years ago (I'm nearly 54). It seems to be something I can't discuss with my girlfriends but intercourse is now extremely painful to the point of being impossible. I have tried vaginal moisturiser but I don't think that the issue. It's as though things have "narrowed". It's like a taboo subject as if nobody is meant to have sex after 50! I'm experiencing a bout of depression at the moment so my libido is low but my OH and I have a loving relationship and is hate to think that it's over at such an early age. Sorry for the long post, but any advice would be most welcome.

There were 2 big pampas grasses in the front garden when we moved in here in June but we cut them down. What have we missed?

OK I have removed my bushel. Me and Mr Batty have pampas grass in the front garden. I think that tells you all you need to know.

Well, I think it's perfectly normal, and reasonable, to feel you just can't be arsed with it anymore.

Hormones are funny old things though. And in your late fifties you are still a spring chicken. Can't remember much about my fifties but I'm pretty sure I was still into it then. Shrug.

I did put down ‘I love you’ and making love is an expression of ours that we both still very much enjoy. We are pretty straightforward in that respect so there’s no hanging from the chandeliers etc haha ? I’m not surprised my post didn’t receive many replies but I still feel many are probably hiding it under a bushel ?

Oldbatty much as I appreciate your responses you were perhaps not meant to be empathising. I made it clear I was asking if there were any other post menopausal women who had a high sex drive & despite my moans my doctor said it was perfectly normal for some women.
