I had a massive bleed yesterday frightened me to death. I am 58 and not had a period for 3 years. Like you Seoha, they have referred me fast track to a specialist. I think in these situations our minds go on over drive. Try not to worry. Like you my mind is all over the place. Big hug let me know how you go on.

Bleeding post menopausally must always be treated seriously. It often needs further investigations/treatment and may be sinister. Never ignore it please.

I've had irregular bleeding for years ,I'm 65 .My sister still bleeds she's almost 70 .Everyone os different and you get to know what is normal for you.If you think its not your normal than get it checked out.I have a great gynaecologist who will see me straight away if I have problems, has offered a hysterectomy within the week anytime I decide to say yes to having one
I saw him at the tail end of last year as my bleeding was lasting a bit longer than I liked so he saw me the same day.I had scans and everything is fine.Try not to panic these things happen to lots of us and are rarely sinister .

I've been checked out repeatedly and have what they call dysfunctional uterine bleeding, in other words they can't find a cause. I just seem to bleed randomly for no apparent reason.

hi,yes i did, read my post below,i am on my forth bleed in 6 years, the first ime like you i was scared stiff,i still do get worried but was thoughly checked 20 months ago, there are many causes, mine have been polops, tummy cramps, back pain, pressure ,really uncomfortable,it can be thinning skin, or fibroids or thick womb linning, but do get checked, womb cancer takes 10 years to develop so if you were checked last year im sure you will be ok.good luck ,my appointment is the 30th

Hi all
Am 50 years old granma and on menopause for over 3 years
Last year i had a brown spotting and was sent to be checked in hospital which resulted in nothing
On friday night i had anusual tummy ache all night which i thought must bee something i ate. Discomfort kept me up all night but i disregarded it.
On saturday i felt a unusual discharge but still didnt think much of it. But when i checked, i had a pool of bleed which went a bit on my trousers.
Was shocked as i had forgotten about periods for over three years now.
This continued over the weekend and monday. Today i still have bleeding but much lighter than past days.
It felt like full periods with tummy and back pain.
Called my doctor and he referred me immediately to hospital for further investigations
Im a bit worried as i had pain this morning on the left of my tummy and back,,
The C word comes and goes into my mind and is eating me,,
Anyone had this?

Thanks x
