I’m very worried.
I’m 48 and have been having constant menstrual cramps both during my period and in between.
I had a scan and everything except a small fibroid looked normal.
My cramps feel like contractions and burn into my upper thighs as well.
Is this a normal perimenopause symptom?

Please speak to your doctor. It doesn’t sound like any peri menopausal symptoms I’ve had, but doesn’t mean it can’t be. A small fibroid could give you that sort of pain. I once had cysts on my ovaries which sent pain shooting down my thighs. Please do speak to your doctor.

Google ' constant menstrual cramps, perimenopause' lots of information.

Copied and pasted this.
The cramps you feel during perimenopause are related to your hormone levels. Prostaglandins are hormones released by glands lining your uterus. These hormones direct your uterus to contract during your period. The higher your prostaglandin levels, the worse your cramps will be.
