A very great man died today. It was obvious that it was only a matter of time, but I felt immediately bereft when I saw the headline. How I hope that his legacy is long felt in South Africa and throughout the continent. RIP

This final tribute to a great man makes us see how trivial our petty disputes are in the face of what he overcame.

I live in hope that South Africa, so dear to my heart, can find its way forward.

Part of it was left to be private - the burial.

I was intrigued by the sort of cheer leader who appeared before the PM during the funeral orations - what a guy!

Loved the spontaneous singing.
