The BBC are about 10 minutes behind the ITV, results wise.

Just woken to catch up, sure looks like an eventful night. Nicola Sturgeon certainly has triumphed in Scotland, she was the most charismatic of all the campaigners (IMO of course) .

mcem Fri 08-May-15 04:12:15

Not on my personal agenda, POGS. I think our new mp's will have their hands full in Westminster fighting tory cuts for the benefit of the whole UK!
Lib Dem seat held in Orkney and Shetland. Wonder if Scotland's solo tory will go soon.
Oops! There goes Simon Hughes - lost to Labour.

Woke up 15 mins ago, came down to watch results, very exciting. Must go back to bed soon though, people are coming to dinner this evening.

Just got up to watch. Certainly looks like it's getting interesting now! Nibbling on M&S pecan and caramel billies, doing diet no good! x

J52 Fri 08-May-15 04:31:23

Nibbling biscuits of course, billie is fine! x

Flipping heck Conservative win, Vince Cable out.

Never saw that coming. She looked like a rabbit caught in a headlight but she gave a generous speech to Vince Cable

rubylady Fri 08-May-15 04:44:41

They've not won yet.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 04:46:28

Who?

rubylady Fri 08-May-15 04:50:05

Conservatives.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 04:54:27

Still loads to come through yet and come later it still may not be decided.

rubylady Fri 08-May-15 04:55:08

Exactly.

grannyactivist Fri 08-May-15 04:59:55

Nick Clegg holds on!

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 05:14:33

The figure of 316 has not changed all night I dont think.
My DH muttered something about them not needing the 325 or whatever to still be able to govern. That the 316 will be enough.
Is that right?

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 05:15:55

NC hinted at not being leader I think?

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 05:54:21

Now saying that DC may get the 325.

Has his property owning stance worked?
Did him not joining in all the tv debates work?

The country sure doesnt think the same way as gransnet can seem.

POGS Fri 08-May-15 05:58:04

Lib Dems have done so badly I feel sorry for them to be honest, don't think they deserve it.

rubylady Fri 08-May-15 05:59:19

I haven't heard one supporter anywhere including lots of people on tele of the conservatives.

Crow Fri 08-May-15 05:59:56

I am so sad. Scottish Nationalists are sweeping the board. That really really worries me, especially I am now on my own. Not sure I shall stay in Scotland. I know one Gransnet Grandma will be very pleased because she has worked very hard. I am happy for her but most certainly not for me. Heaven help us Scots, I expect another referendum. Blooming heck, that is my polite version.

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 06:10:41

During the night, a couple of people on the bbc election, are saying that they dont expect NS to call for a referendum in the next five years. I have forgotten why. Kirsty Wark was one pf the people who said that if I remember it all correctly.

soontobe Fri 08-May-15 06:12:56

What concerns you Crow?

jo1book Fri 08-May-15 06:13:02

Milliand and Balls on the ropes! There is a God!

FarNorth Fri 08-May-15 06:18:43

Don't agree with you, there, jo1.
