Glad I waited - a Labour gain in Burnley.

Can't sleep so checked in agsin - Ealing a gain as well - silver lining

Lib Dems got only 80 votes or 0.2% of the vote in Castle Point. I had to see it in print before I believed what I heard.
Two Labour gains from LibDems in Burnley and Ealing Central & Acton from the conservatives.

Conservative gain in Wales though

Labour are doing so badly all over the place.

Why am I feeling so sad for Jim Murphy.!

Was it he had so much aggro during the campaign?

I thought it was disgraceful the abuse Jim Murphy took on the campaign trail , if that's the politics of the future you can stick it for me, and I am not Labour!

I dont know all the MPs by a long way.

It must be a traumatic time for them.

Abuse of Jim Murphy on the campaign trail was hugely exaggerated in the press. Video showed it involved shouting only, by a very few people.

Gordon Brown's seat goes to 20 year-old SNP. Jim Murphie, Margaret Curran, Douglas Alexander gone too. SNP contingent will bring down the average age at Westminster.
Not just engaging young voters but electing them!

Soontobe,yes I also noticed there are a lot of woman representing the SNP,another aspect of the new regime in Scotland.Also young people well represented.Good luck to them all as they begin their political journey.

With everything going on, I think it is worth mentioning that the conservatives may still not get the 326 seats at least, that they require without having to have some sort of coalition.

Dare I ask the Scotland GN's how long before Scotland goes back to wanting an Independence vote.

I am currently watching ITV.
They have mentioned shy tories as to why the opinion polls and exit polls were so different.
I think they are probably right.
