I am surprised that Housing Associations have not taken a case to judicial review. Why does the Government have a right to force the sale of their properties?

Here's another housing association that needs to be taught about humans.

They told the inhabitants of the houses featured that they were going to decant them. What on earth does that mean?

There was an appalling article in the Guardian on Saturday.
The day after the election, the luxury flat market rocketed as the global elite rushed to buy onto a slice of "real" London life.
It shows interviews with people who are being forced out of their homes, and estate agents selling flats in places like Tower Hamlets for anything over £3 million.

One of the estate agents is quoted as saying "The local indigenous people are still there....People like the edgy feeling of east London, the "real London" feel: rich people living cheek by jowl with poor people. Parts of west Lindon feel so safe and mundane."

I find this quite sickening.

Not to do with any area, but housing associations forecast that under the lower benefit cap they will have to deal with a dramatic rise in rent arrears, evictions and homelessness, and will no longer be able to offer homes to jobless low-income families.
National Housing Federation thinks that a further 90,000 households across private and social sectors in England will have their income reduced by the new welfare cap.

Who voted for this?

I cannot believe I have just read that Labour will support the cap in Parliament. Getting straight on to my MP.
