Perhaps some children will be afraid to voice their fears or hopes, ask questions for fear of being reported to police, social services etc, and it will break trust which children is so important to children

If parents dont notice, if friends either dont notice, or are too scared to tell anyone, that only leaves teachers.

Its all our jobs to be alert to the possibility of children we know becoming radicalised. We are the new 'home front' in this unfortunate situation. We have lots to learn here. There's a lot at stake. I'm glad the govt is taking it seriously. Re this law -its not perfect but its a start and we have to start somewhere.

Would that be the same teachers that separate the boys from the girls in some schools? Or don't notice when young girls go missing for long periods of time, ie being sent abroad to be married or FGM.

Teachers have to do their best. It isnt going to be perfect.

I have a couple of times bumped a thread about twitter alerting potential terrorists to being watched, but hardly anyone appeared to think that that was inappropriate.

This problem is not going to go away anytime soon. Especially if British citizens are not prepared to deal with the situation.

If we bomb Iraq, we are doing IS job for them.

I need to watch it on catchup as I only caught the end. The fact that IS are selling ancients artefacts to fund their war and destroying others so that the ones they sell are worth more is disgusting [not to mention two faced] .
