New year/term, same old poo.

First anti-democratic point - £600 to be charged for information under the FOI

Second anti-democratic point and something that far left MP David Davis described as Franco's Spain. The requirement under the trade union bill for names, movement, social media use, etc to be given to the police prior to any action taken.

Wrong person ana?

granjura Fri 06-May-16 16:41:15

f77- sad isn't it? Sadly it's same old, same old. Which may not be so apparent to fairly new posters as a lot of this is from people who keep changing their names after they get in hot water.

Ana Fri 06-May-16 16:38:36

Simply stating a fact, whitewave, as dj has told us herself. I admit the 'hyperspace scanning' was a bit of an embellishment, though.

f77ms Fri 06-May-16 16:36:44

What is going on ? Is it the anonymity which allows people to be so aggressive, would it be the same if we were face to face ?

I was just reading through the posts with interest then came a tirade of anger and sarcasm out of the blue ( no pun intended ) .

whitewave Fri 06-May-16 16:34:05

Peace and love to both anya and * ana*?

See you at the next argument?

granjura Fri 06-May-16 16:33:13

Do you share her home perhaps? You seem to make a lot of assumptions there.

For me, living abroad currently, I do not get a chance to discuss current UK issues in real life, so I am so grateful for all the information I get- don't get access to the UK press generally either. So thanks.

It would indeed be really useful and interesting to have more links from different angles. But all we seem to get from those on the Right is comments like 'rubbish' etc- wtihout any counter information or argument/debate. Not helpful, what a shame.

Ana Fri 06-May-16 16:20:05

dj gets most of her information sent directly to her anyway, and just transfers it onto here, although I dare say there's a bit of hyperspace scanning goint on as well!

Anya Fri 06-May-16 16:17:55

Sorry I left you out GJ - accept my apologies.

granjura Fri 06-May-16 16:13:21

Go in peace indeed Anya ... toodle pip... And yes, I agree, you should:

...be out in the sun, relaxing, having a coffee with her comrades friends, getting in her 10,000 steps a day, etc. Even if just occasionally.

I for one am very grateful for interesting and informative links. Thank you.

Anya Fri 06-May-16 15:53:12

hmm hello girls ladies friends Romans and countrymen *GG, WW, Annie and ....oh is that it! Well if you are all happy to have information spoon fed available in this way that's not for me to even be mildly critical. Even though it is decidedly one-sided.

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa wink

I do worry though as I have this picture in my mind of DJ endlessly scanning hyperspace for links to back up her .... not quite sure of the right word here....philosophy? political leaning? anti-almost-everything?

She should be out in the sun, relaxing, having a coffee with her comrades friends, getting in her 10,000 steps a day, etc. Even if just occasionally.

Oddly enough I do get plenty of unbiased information already, so perhaps that's perhaps why I don't greet the arrival of yet more of the same with such rapture and enthusiasm as you all obviously so.

So having admitted that this is doubtless a flaw in my personality, please carry on (though of course you don't need my permission, perish the thought) and let no man (or woman) put asunder what Jez has joined together in like-mindedness.

Go in peace smile

Gracesgran Fri 06-May-16 12:07:35

I agree whitewave I am very happy to be informed by anyone. I may not agree with it all on either side but I like to see how cleverer minds than mine are working smile

Anniebach Fri 06-May-16 09:34:16

I have given up hoping for the right wing grans to give their views on the Tories using the bombed London bus in their London campaign

whitewave Fri 06-May-16 09:26:03

Actually I would welcome more "blues" from the right wing grans. It would be something to get our teeth into?

Anniebach Fri 06-May-16 08:34:49

Jen's links give us the information the BBC and Tory press are failing to give us, this would annoy some

whitewave Fri 06-May-16 07:54:21

What is the matter with you anya! You need to relax more. What on earth does it matter if dj does all this reading and posts it for other people to read if they so wish. The clue is in the last 4 words of the last sentence.

Stop being so stressy

Gracesgran Fri 06-May-16 00:01:34

I'm afraid I'm very lazy in that I often come to look and see what Jen has put up for us to read and make up our minds day about; I feel she is very generous with her time in doing this and it seems a shame that you are attacking this Anya rather than offering your point of view about the topic.

durhamjen Thu 05-May-16 23:56:51

www.unitetheunion.org/uploaded/documents/(JN7434)%20A4%20Tory%20Racism%20Brochure%20SIN11-26629.pdf

For a bit of balance.
The Unite union has made a list of Tory racist remarks from councillors and MPs which have been reported in the newspapers, but which have been more or less ignored.
Not one person has been sacked or reprimanded by the party for what he or she said.
Makes you think, doesn't it.

durhamjen Thu 05-May-16 23:42:25

No worries, Annie.
In fact I might put even more on if Anya doesn't stop criticising.

Anya, what is your opinion of the Tory electoral fraud allegations?

Anniebach Thu 05-May-16 23:26:04

I am grateful for the links, would not have heard Michael Crick on Channel 4 , and that's just one , do keep, posting them Jen please

durhamjen Thu 05-May-16 23:17:12

Well, tough, Anya. I'll just carry on being lazy.
I do not know how you work out I do not think for myself, but never mind.
I put more of my own comments on than those who continually criticise me for links, but add nothing to the discussion themselves.

Thank you, oldgoat.

Anya Thu 05-May-16 22:51:33

Well good for you oldgoat and I do ignore them. As do many others I'm guessing.

Personally I think it lazy to constantly post links, but I suppose it saves her having to think for hersekf and put her own thoughts into writing.

oldgoat Thu 05-May-16 22:38:21

If you don't like durhamjens links anya, just ignore them. I actually find them very informative.

Anya Thu 05-May-16 22:33:21

Oh goody, goody, more blue links hmm

durhamjen Thu 05-May-16 22:14:40

Gloucestershire police force is the first one to launch an investigation into the fraud.

You need to watch the Michael Crick video on Channel 4 news if you haven't seen it.
