Should we bomb De-ash/ISIS in Syria?

Blair took us into the Iraq war (to keep his American allies happy) and the Middle East was de-stabilised.
Its even more unstable and Cameron seems keen to send bombers there, presumably to keep his EU allies happy (given his negotiations...).
ISIS/DEA-SH thrive on chaos. They are a death cult aimed at hastening the end of the world. (Day of Judgement, Islam style).
Given the chaos in Syria and Iraq with all the different factions on the ground and Russia joining the throng in the air I cannot see why joining in would be either helpful or wise.
The poor civilians on the ground are now in fear of Assad, De-ash/ISIS and the bombs.
Cameron's arguments are thin.
Here are some more arguments on the other side voxpoliticalonline.com/2015/11/27/how-many-innocents-will-die-because-of-right-wing-labours-petulance/
Your MP will be heading back to their constituency to think about this over the weekend.
If you are against the bombing please, please write to your MP.
You can use this very easy site. You just type in your postcode and the site will ensure that your MP gets your email. They will be getting lots of emails on the subject so there is no need to be long-winded, so it's a 5 minute task. www.writetothem.com

Much like "They came for me" another of your gems rose

I know that Corbyn didn't vote for strikes in Iraq, Djen, being a pacifist ( and therefore quite unsuited to be a leader of any country, so we have to hope it will never come to that) he won't vote for military action on anything at all.Even when it's needed.

whitewave Wed 02-Dec-15 20:30:04

Oh! silly me of course that must be it. An IS plant on the BBC news asking us not to bomb grin

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:29:14

And let's stop telling other posters who they should 'empathise with' please, that much over used word on this forum.

If he has been working here for years, why is his viewpoint of interest?Another ( opposite) viewpoint could easily be found, a Syrian who says ' kill Daesh wherever they can be found, they murdered my Father and raped my sister'. that is why interviewing and reporting comments from random people is meaningless.

durhamjen Wed 02-Dec-15 20:26:19

Corbyn did not vote for bombing strikes in Iraq, roses. He used to be the leader of the Stop the War coalition until he became the leader of the Labour Party. Why would he vote for them?
But what can he do about stopping them in Iraq? Nothing. That's just a red herring in this debate.
Why does Cameron need to ask about bombing in Syria if it's just a formality, after Iraq?

Ana Wed 02-Dec-15 20:25:49

Cobblers. You know nothing about this man other than what's been shown on the news. He could be an ISIS plant for all we know.

whitewave Wed 02-Dec-15 20:21:45

Simply because he doesn't match your narrative should not be an excuse to rubbish someone with whom you should empathise not criticise.

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:20:17

Still no answer from Corbyn ( today in Parliament) or on here, about the acceptability of bombing strikes in Iraq, yet not extending them into Syria.

whitewave Wed 02-Dec-15 20:18:42

But rose you don't know that he rna away. He may be working here or at university or indeed taken his wife and family to safety.

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:17:49

Big issues are not decided ( thankfully) by what one person, or even The Guardian thinks.

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:15:56

Ridiculous comment from you Djen. He is here, he is safe, he is lucky. He chose to run away from his family to safety.

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:14:21

Has Corbyn put a message on about how moderate Labour MP's have been treated by the very left wing side, it's disgraceful.

Iam64 Wed 02-Dec-15 20:12:49

I am hopeless at links but I've just read JC's statement on his Facebook page. It's good to see him addressing the issue with honesty and integrity

durhamjen Wed 02-Dec-15 20:11:40

So send him back and let him be bombed, that's your answer, is it, roses?

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:11:23

We cannot run our country by thinking about what one man who has abandoned his family thinks.

durhamjen Wed 02-Dec-15 20:10:34

Corbyn has put a message on his facebook page condemning the way some MPs have been treated by their critics.
Worth reading. It's on the Guardian live website.

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:09:45

I would not have run away from my family if I was a young man, or even a middle aged or old one, that's what!

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:08:39

No I don't Djen, thank you.

whitewave Wed 02-Dec-15 20:08:19

He is talking about his sisters and brothers * rose* Not sure what he could do anyway. What would you do?

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:07:44

What makes me go cold is Daesh and their various doings, and the fact that if they can they will plan atrocities here.

durhamjen Wed 02-Dec-15 20:07:14

Cameron came back in 16 minutes ago. So he's not been sitting there all the time.

Don't you think you should find out more about the Syrian man before saying that, roses?

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:06:23

what about 'frightened families' in Iraq, still haven't heard anyone talking about them?

rosesarered Wed 02-Dec-15 20:04:12

Then perhaps that 'Syrian chap' should have stayed to look after them... Just a thought!

whitewave Wed 02-Dec-15 20:02:45

Sorry thought first post hadn't hit.
