I don't generally pay too much attention to celebrity gossip but really, the names kim kardashian and kanye west have given their children.

First North West
Now Saint West

I think names are so important - you have them for life after all. Just ridiculous

I was expecting South or East! Poor children!. tchsad

Charleygirl Tue 08-Dec-15 09:33:15

What sex are they? I cannot tell from those ridiculous names.

Alima Tue 08-Dec-15 09:38:53

Go West got the next one?

annsixty Tue 08-Dec-15 09:38:59

They are going to make a wonderful "First Family " when he stands for the next Presidential election as is his intention.

Charleygirl - North is a girl and Saint is a boy

rosesarered Tue 08-Dec-15 10:15:02

Is the 'First' and 'Now' part of the names or is it North West and Saint West?
tchgrin With these kind of names you can never tell!

tanith Tue 08-Dec-15 10:37:15

Utterly rediculous..

henetha Tue 08-Dec-15 11:54:30

It shows a massive ego, and a huge lack of imagination. Pathetic.

I hope they both have middle names, although none have been mentioned. The chances are that they will rename themselves like poor Satchel Farrow, bullied at school he renamed himself Seamus. He's now called Ronan Seamus Farrow and studies law.

These are ridiculous people who don't seem very bright to me. Poor children.

annsixty Tue 08-Dec-15 12:25:50

No actually very rich children who won't give a toss about their names.

NanaandGrampy Tue 08-Dec-15 12:38:12

It would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic. Poor kids. Its bad enough that these are their parents, although I'm sure they are loved and well looked after. They also appear to be rolled out as a fashion accessory at every opportunity. They put them on twitter too. Part of the brand !!

I admire the way William and Kate keep their children out of the limelight as much as they can. With 'proper' names. And allowed to be children.

Just don't get me started on 'proper' names ..... :-))

Charleygirl Tue 08-Dec-15 12:41:50

Thanks CariGransnet I would never have known- not that I am all that bothered!

ninathenana Tue 08-Dec-15 12:49:53

I had to swiftly change my reaction from tchshock to. tchgrin when a friend told me the name of her gorgeous new grandson.
People who give their children weird as apposed to unusual names are thinking more of their selves than the poor children.

miep Tue 08-Dec-15 13:50:39

What was the name?

NfkDumpling Tue 08-Dec-15 13:56:26

But North isn't a girls name, it's a boys. So is West. South and East are girls names!

Not sure about Saint, but it feels more girly to me.

David Bowie named his son Zowie shock. He likes to be known as Duncan - so sensible; these offspring have more sense than their disillusioned parents....

dorsetpennt Tue 08-Dec-15 16:31:58

Frank Zappa gave his kids ridiculous names which they promptly changed when they were able. This couple and that dreadful family are so media hungry , I'm fed up with hearing about them . I think they are rapidly falling out favour publicity wise, what ever will they do ?

aprilgrace Tue 08-Dec-15 17:28:18

They sound like Railway Companies!

ninathenana Tue 08-Dec-15 17:43:49

miep I not saying as she might look here tchgrin

rosequartz Tue 08-Dec-15 18:10:08

I met a family from New Zealand when we were on holiday this year. The daughters were called Peace and Harmony - their mother said they had had neither since they'd been born.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 08-Dec-15 18:15:03

I quite like North for a girl. Don't like Saint at all though.

Phoebes Tue 08-Dec-15 18:30:37

I think that the most important thing you can do for your new baby is to give it a sensible name, not one that will mark it forever, whether in terms of class (yes, it does still exist!) or by showing that your parents haven't got a brain in their heads!

I am a retired teacher, and when we got the lists of names for the new children, we could be fairly accurate in predicting whether they would be lovely kids or total pains, just by looking at their names and we were mostly correct!

Of course, there was always a boy named Sue, but there was a reason for that!!

DotMH1901 Tue 08-Dec-15 19:11:44

North is called Nori by the family which is a quite pretty name - they will probably call Saint something else at home. I help people research their family history and have seen names in the baptisms registers that you would shake your head at today - Sorrow and Misery being two I have seen.
