Cameron - friend of Muslim women?

In his latest foray the PM has announced that he's putting up some more cash for Muslim women to learn English. So far so good. But on the other hand threatening to deport them if they don't get their act together. And implying that non-English speaking mothers are something to do with terrorism.
Baroness Warsi has called this announcement : lazy and misguided.

This is not the first time ESOL training has come up since the 2010 election.

I thought that, in Spain at least, those of pensionable age had the cost of any treatment reimbursed by the UK government under a reciprocal agreement. I thought that it was in the pipeline that this will not apply to those of working age from February 2016, who are now required to take our private health insurance.

Inspections were not done until complaints came in about the home, bags. The Home Office said it undertook inspections regularly. It didn't otherwise it would have known that the residents were eleven to a room which was only suitable for six.
Companies are paid by the Home Office to put asylum seekers in overcrowded rooms. If the Home Office did not know, there is something wrong with its records.
You must see that is wrong.

Jess are you able to back up your posts about ex-pats? I did ask and I'm still waiting.

You may be right Anya but I had always understood that "reciprocal agreement" was something that existed between UK and many countries, not just EU, whereby emergency treatment was given to those travelling abroad on the same basis as to citizens. (and because reciprocal they don't need to re-charge).
For people living abroad there are an awful lot of rules and regulations depending on your circumstances.

Can anyone see any reason why this is happening?
Why can these families not come to Britain?

Thanks Jess

Little update on this one. Just talking to someone who works in Further Ed in London. Last summer they lost £38 million funding for ESOL classes in London alone.
A few months later Cameron announces £20 million being "given" for ESOL for whole of England.

Oh dear Jess, yet another Big Fat Fib disguised as welfare reforms and improvements.
