We can't possibly let this slip by!

Tory on Radio 4 this morning arguing that we can't tackle the "treasure islands" that we have sovereignty over as it will lose people jobs!
I was astounded. So it is fine for the Steel workers to face penury but not those who help the wealthy to hide their money.

DC implicated - won't be long before GO is mentioned.

This would be funny if it wasn't so serious. Companies avoiding tax, and Amazon telling them to pay up.

While we have been watching all the EU stuff, this is going to go through the house tomorrow.

It's about tax transparency, and explains it quite well on the link.
Anyone on twitter, could you tweet your MP if you agree with it.

Another tax haven scandal, this time the Bahamas. Quite close to Panama.

Isn't Rudd implicated? Her fellow director has been done for fraud.

Yes, that's the one.
It surely should be impossible for her to stay as home secretary while not disclosing her connections to tax havens.

The Guardian has investigated her career in business. Her 'family history' is interesting...Also seems to have been associated with some not very successful ventures. But perhaps that can happen to anyone.

I thought this paragraph was amusing:

She was also the “aristocracy coordinator” for the film Four Weddings and a Funeral, which led to an unlikely business of hiring out “posh” friends to raise the social tone at events.

Rudd told Harpers & Queen that her contacts “might well be more than happy to attend genuine weddings” for £100 a day. The advantage was that they owned “their own morning dress”.

I don't think she has any money in tax havens now, dj

I think the problem is that she set up the companies. She defended Cameron and never said anything at the time about her involvement in tax havens.
