Are you watching The Great Debate on BBC1?
I can't imagine that people will change their minds at this late stage. Those who are undecided might find this debate useful.
However, the government have a lot to answer for by putting us in this position, we should not be having this referendum IMO.

Lucas is so right

Tegan Tue 21-Jun-16 21:05:44

Why isn't Dimbleby making them answer the questions?

WilmaKnickersfit Tue 21-Jun-16 21:05:42

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 21:04:57

Cloud cuckoo land

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 21:03:47

Stuart isn't much of it

WilmaKnickersfit Tue 21-Jun-16 21:03:13

All the things Boris rattled off could be changed by the government, it doesn't need the UK to leave the EU.

Frances is right, the Leave campaign is making no commitments about those things.

Alea Tue 21-Jun-16 21:03:12

Yes, varian, they ducked out of the BNP donation accusation didn't they?
Shameful.

The other week we were at the JR in a Oxford, a huge state of the art hospital, with highly trained staff and a centre of excellence. The nurses we encountered were almost universally from the EU(lovely Javier from Spain, Andrea from Italy, Eva who was certainly Eastern European ) and all brilliant! There was also a very bright junior doctor with an antipodean accent (can't say whether Australian or NZ) so this talk of discriminating against non-EU nationals is just not true.

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 21:03:04

They will not reduce numbers that is a fact

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 21:02:12

The union girl is good

Charleygirl Tue 21-Jun-16 20:59:41

Nana3 Tue 21-Jun-16 20:58:34

Boris Johnson's smirk is speaking a thousand words for remain.

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 20:57:45

Stuart nonsense. She knows very well that Labour had made allowance for that

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 20:56:27

I just yelled at the TV and DH came rushing in looking alarmed!

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 20:54:38

Scare tactics disgraceful

Alea Tue 21-Jun-16 20:54:15

Boris needs to be reined in! He speaks extremely plausibly and people believe him because he sounds authoritative. Like the niqab Welsh speaking story - never let the facts get in the way of a good soundbites.
Well spoken Ruth Davidson taking him to task for changing his stance on Turkey.
Oh this is worse than shouting at Rob on the radio!

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 20:53:58

The Turkey thing it isn't going to happen. First of all they say that the EU will impose stuff next they say that the UK is going to let in Turkey. What a load of nonsense

varian Tue 21-Jun-16 20:51:56

Frances O'Grady has asked about the huge donation to their campaign by th BNP - no answer

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 20:51:03

No of course not nothing stops my flowgrin

Nana3 Tue 21-Jun-16 20:49:02

Thanks whitewave hope I haven't messed up the flow of discussion.

varian Tue 21-Jun-16 20:46:53

The debate commentators are making good points, especially Tim Farron who pointed out how many jobs and businesses would lose out if we were not in the EU

whitewave Tue 21-Jun-16 20:46:26

When the Tories came into power they immediately stopped the special payments to councils who were under pressure from immigrants. So who's to blame for the shortage of school places etc.
