for Tory leadership. Heaven help us... Not too surprising I suppose.

Maggiemaybe Thu 30-Jun-16 13:19:33

Don't forget Natalie Bennett and Leanne Wood, GandTea. The women are taking control, mwahahahahaha....

(Strokes black and white cat reflectively)

missislippy Thu 30-Jun-16 13:13:44

daphnedill no, I didn't read it in the Express... in case it wasn't obvious I'm a Tory-voting Daily Mail reader, so personna non grata in this Forum ....

GandTea Thu 30-Jun-16 13:10:55

"Theresa May and Angela Eagle. With Nicola Sturgeon" If we can keep Scotland on side, that would make a strong trio to take us forward as a single nation. Would get my vote.

Tegan Thu 30-Jun-16 13:00:18

When foundations are built on lies they will eventually start to crumble.

whitewave Thu 30-Jun-16 12:57:28

The Whitehall Farce

Tegan Thu 30-Jun-16 12:56:55

....we're not negotiating IMO anyway....just waiting to hear what we'll be told....

Tegan Thu 30-Jun-16 12:55:36

Nicky Morgan now on the news looking like a rabbit in the headlights and having to stumblingly lie on her feet ....

alig99 Thu 30-Jun-16 12:49:39

I'm am not clear why people would think just because you vote remain you wouldn't negotiate a good/best deal for the country. I know I would if I was in the negotiation chair and I voted remain, so why wouldn't someone like Teresa May do the same.I doesn't make sense to think otherwise.

daphnedill Thu 30-Jun-16 12:49:34

Lololol!

Did you read about Gove and the teaching unions in the Daily Express?

suzied Thu 30-Jun-16 12:46:57

Plus Hilary Clinton and Angel Merkel

missislippy Thu 30-Jun-16 12:46:41

obieone he's obviously not suitable because people on here don't like him...but hey who cares....they've got enough on their plate getting rid of the snivelling little weasel Corbyn! I like Michael Gove too and I think he'll stick to his principles....like he tried to do with the bloody teaching unions.

sallyswin Thu 30-Jun-16 12:43:08

Now wouldn't it be interesting if the two new leaders were Theresa May and Angela Eagle. With Nicola Sturgeon there would be three strong women at the top.

Tegan Thu 30-Jun-16 12:38:19

Conservatives are now no longer leavers or remainders we're now told.....

Tegan Thu 30-Jun-16 12:33:38

I felt that even the debates over the past few weeks have been like a pantomime with all of the booing and cheering. It is like a nightmare isn't it. They're now saying that the 48% of the population that voted against leave must be heard.

Maggiemaybe Thu 30-Jun-16 12:30:07

I think it's more like a ruddy pantomime than A Night to Remember.

In fact, I sometimes wonder if the last week has been some sort of alcohol fuelled nightmare and I'm going to wake up soon. I did have a couple of glasses of wine last Thursday night.

Tegan Thu 30-Jun-16 12:27:02

And he now won't have to apologise for the recession that Brexit will (probably) cause. As he promised to do #anotherpromisebitesthedust

Gaggi3 Thu 30-Jun-16 12:20:30

That's exactly how I feel, Tegan, very well put.

LullyDully Thu 30-Jun-16 12:20:13

Thank God Boris is out, but.Gove in,surely not. It seems.to be anyone's game. Not only the orchestra on the Titanic but the moving of the chairs.Daphne. Mad times. Interesting but this is the country's future at stake.

Riverwalk Thu 30-Jun-16 12:13:52

You could be right daphne - it's all very exciting until you remember Brexit!

Yes Tegan it rather seems that way.

Now we'll have huge speculation over which candidate he'll back - he'll be very useful as a crowd-pleaser among the Tory faithful.

obieone Thu 30-Jun-16 12:12:06

Boris didnt get teh backing I presume. In some vote or other before, he came 4th with 14%. So nothing new.

Craftycat Thu 30-Jun-16 12:11:49

Well I didn't see that coming! Now Boris is out of the running.
Very interesting times.

obieone Thu 30-Jun-16 12:10:35

Teresa May - a vote remain person. hmm.

Nannylovesshopping Thu 30-Jun-16 12:07:45

Better to know you are a coward, instead of b... s....... the way through

suzied Thu 30-Jun-16 12:06:22

He didn't stand as he knew he couldn't deliver his promises based on lies.

daphnedill Thu 30-Jun-16 12:04:53

Nope! Bloody coward!

This is like the orchestra playing on the Titanic.
