It is being reported Labour Deputy Leader Tom Watson has called off 'talks's with the Unions/Len McCluskey over Jeremy Corbyns future and refusal to 'stand down'. He is being reported as saying 'There is no realistic prospect of reaching a compromise'
Obvious signs have been there , (noted from the beginning of Corbyn becoming leader for political anoraks) but is this perhaps a challenge that 'if' it does happen might just 'split' Labour into the Parliamentary Labour Party and another group finally calling themselves 'Momentum' as an official opposition party?
There have been a few voices suggesting a Labour Leadership challenge could happen on Monday 'maybe' they are correct.
Interesting to watch.

I think the situation has got so bad now in the Labour Party - but it was obvious from Corbyns election that there would eve tually be an al.ighty tussle for hearts and minds. However, what is appalling me is the behaviour on all sides.
I see no sense in arguing about this. I am willing to argue policy etc but this is not what is happening.
Innuendo and slurs that are not being backed with concrete evidence and merely adds to the nonsense.
Rats in a bag springs to mind.
I need an opposition to wipe the floor with the Tories
It ain't going to happen is it?
One if us is losing the plot Eleothan and it isn't me. Where in those posts have I said anything anti Semitic ? What on earth has it to do with Corbyn destroying the lsbour party?
I voted for and canvassed for Corbyn, I thought he was a man of honour , I was wrong and said so, this is being honest Eleothan , like you I was taken in by the honest
man act, difference is I questioned the man's honesty you seem hysterically smitten by him and attack me for changing my views . I will quote dear old Jezza OK? with hindsight I made a mistake , now is he can make a mistake surely we lesser mortals can ?
Your rant at me has made you look a very silly woman and I feel sorry for you .
By the by, your list of my personal friendships ? You missed out several , try trawling countless threads again , may take you mind of Jezza for a little while .
I think I have been fair to you considering your venomous attack last evening, but now I do not wish you to address me again , you keep praising the man who is destroying My Party and I will continue to post what I see as the truth
Hope you haven't bought one of those tee shirts
Apologies to all for the exchange of posts with Eleothan, I had to defend myself from racist accusations

Momentum has said they have brought half a million members to the Labour Party and their aim is to increase their number to one million . So really they have announced the death of a once great party .
www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKJxG38ctMY
Owen Jones at Momentum.
Paddy Ashdown is making moves towards a new party
What a pity. Last week Owen Smith was interviewed by Andrew Marr on the leadership campaign. This morning no Corbyn , McDonald is in his place and his performance is worthy of an Oscar , he has even made an appeal to party members directly to camera. He is doing his saccharin act
I don't really care about politics, it just keeps the papers busy, don't any body say anything about the NHS or Education and how the Labour party or the Tories did this or that. Just look at what is happening with the rest of the world and you will notice that we don't do very well in any thing really.
Now I want some one to just tell me,"What are the CORE values of the Labour party in 2016?".
Well I know what MY values are and I am desperately trying to find a political party that they "fit" and is an effective opposition! Any ideas?
A good opposition should be making mincemeat if the Tories, it wouldn't be hard to do. But what do we get? Rats in a bag, another lot wimping around the idea of a coalition without much energy attached to it in my view. All hopeless.
The core values of the Labour Party are what they have been since 1900 .
What angers me ( I use the word anger because the words fear and worry mean nothing to me) is that this lot will get into power and re-nationalise everything.
Don't get me wrong, I believe that all public services should be owned and run by the state.
But, in the 80s I was a manager in a state owned industry. I had always worked in the private sector of my trade ( printing) I was horrified at the amount of waste of tax payers money, it was obscene. Nobody cared when I pointed out how we could save money, they looked at me as if I was speaking Urdu. Nobody was accountable if mistakes were made. Your taxes meant obsolutely nothing to them.
God forbid that we go back to that.
This is what I can't understand, if the Labour party are for the working man then they should always be in power, because their are more workers in this country than anything else.
Although, I'm sure that the working man might have moved on from the 1900.
I've got values and I can't find anything to fit in with, maybe a new party is what I'm looking for.
I think the rise in numbers going to university, coupled with the huge decline in jobs in manual work, has meant a huge shift in the term "woking man"
I am not sure I am describing it well. Others will be able to describe it better than I can.
I think you described it very well obieone . When the Labour Party was formed we had coal mines, iron works, potteries , mills etc , these no longer exist but poverty, exploitation of workers etc still exist
You've forgotten the 2 world wars, the cold war, apartheid. all of which happened after 1900.
Apartheid was way before 1900 ,
Apartheid was a system of racial segregation in South Africa enforced through legislation by the National Party (NP), the governing party from 1948 to 1994.You're getting confused with slavery, time for a nap 'perhaps.
It was indeed
1.(in the Republic of South Africa) a rigid former policy of segregating and economically and politically oppressing the nonwhite population
But the definition of apartheid also includes
2. any system or practice that separates people according to colour, ethnicity, caste, etc.
No I am not confused Gonosuch, I don't need a nap but you need to read the history of S A . And the KKK started in 1865
The media in general have had nothing but smears for Jeremy Corbyn since he got elected. The latest is the MP who claimed to have had her staff 'harrassed' because one of the Labour staff came to see if she had left the office she was supposed to have been vacating.
And the BBC is not blameless, see this pic!

I don't believe anything certain people say about him on principle. I am waiting - hoping - that the PLP will somehow stop all this and get working with the rest of the party :-(
We will see if her complaint is upheld ,
Strange they entered the office just to see if it was empty, why not just ask her instead of entering when there no one in there at the time, why not knock the door and wait
She was the manager in charge of the rooms. There were boxes outside the room, so she thought they were leaving. She knocked, got no response, so thought it must be empty, so used her key.
It sounds like another Get Jeremy thing to me, a lot about nothing.
Oh complaints, complaints, complaints. He said, she said. He's bullying her. she's bullying me. The PLP needs to take a long hard look at itself and realise that they are there to do a job and not moan about how badly they are treated. When Corbyn spoke about stress and said real stress was not having a job and not being able to feed your family he was absolutely right. There is a world out side where people are treated like cattle (those working for SportsDirect),live in sub standard housing and use foodbanks. When Labour MPs begin to deal with these problems and stop squabbling among themselves there may just be a party there that will offer a real alternative to the Tories.
