For me too it wasn't what TM was saying because JC is fair game (especially right now), it was how she was saying it. I understand what PMQs is about, I'm just disappointed at her sneering manner.

As for JC, when I saw him speaking at his campaign launch, it was the most animated I'd seen him for a while. I agree with his stated intentions of not joining in the barrack room heckling, but he needs to up his level of energy and animation a fair bit.

Welshwife that's a long way for you to travel and must be very hard on you and your family. Hope things improve soon.

Actually, I couldn't give a toss one way or the other, but PMQ's has just been like that for as long as it has been televised, and very likely long before that.There are more important things to worry about.
Strange that you find the possible deselection of good Labour MP's a good thing, but your admiration of Corbyn knows no bounds.

Good labour MPs will not be deselected if they do as asked by their constituents. That's why they are in parliament, after all.
You never heard of anyone complaining about the farmyard that PMQs had become, did you not?
PMQs, as I said before, is the showcase of parliament. It brings parliament into disrepute.

durhamjen, your comment that good labour MP's will not be deselected if they do as asked by their constituents seems reasonable but we have to remember, their constituents are a broad group, not just those represented by Momentum. The MP's act for everyone in their constituency, including tories, greens, liberals even Ukippers etc. We also have to acknowledge that shouting loudest doesn't always mean that group represent everyone.

Just wish all this Leadership with Labour got sorted now, we need a strong opposition to run the country. JC has upped his game a lot but not leadership material, his past will trail behind him and he is inflexible. Also wish TM would start the Brexit process now instead of waiting, know a lot needs sorting, but hope it's sooner rather than later.

I think we are a long way off the labour party becoming the opposition party we need, It seems likely that JC will be elected, but as he will not have the support of the majority of his MP's it could take a while before they unite.

Why should a good MP who works hard for his constituency be deselected because he/she cannot support Corbyn, there was no move to deselect Corbyn who went against the leaders of his party, now he is saying the MP's should support him because he is the leader , should he not grant them the same freedom of choice which he has practiced for thirty years

I enjoyed PMQ's I think Teresa May performance was spot on. Corbyn was his usual dour self. I would never vote for Labour but I have a soft spot now for Jeremy hope he wins the vote.

I get the feeling that he's just getting too old for all these shenanigans. He reminds me of DH when the boisterous. grandchildren come to stay, being dragged along to do things that he's not quite up for anymore and finds a bit exhausting!
Of course being the centre of attention with the young is flattering, in both camps!

I expect the Conservative Party hopes JC will win too.

It will be interesting to see how May's government deals with the result of Brexit.

What I find intriguing is that her cabinet is definitely to the right, but May's rhetoric to date has clearly been aimed at the centre ground. There is a tension between the two.

I suspect that she recognises that Brexit came about primarily because of the working classes rejection of and revolt against the global economy that sees gross inequality both financially and in their life chances.
This rejection of the elite is happening throughout the western world - look at Trump.

Whether the May government can stomach what the working class is seeking is in my opinion doubtful.

She's put Penny Mordaunt in charge of the DWP. Benefits and pensions are going to need some serious attention over the next couple of years and Mordaunt is definitely on the right. She hasn't impressed me at all, either during the referendum campaign (when she blatantly lied) or when she supported Leadsom for leadership. I thought she came across as naive and...er...not very bright.

Sorry, she's only a junior minister ...phew!

It's reported that she has, or plans to have, many of the paintings at No. 10 removed and replaced with framed quotations from her own speeches.
