Annie, I agree that our homes should be safe but I also feel we have some responsibility to make it so. I am careful to lock the doors in the evening and do a check before going to bed, its the best I can do to stop intruders coming in. I accept if they really want to, they can get into my house.
I am careful about the people I give my address to and I avoid inviting people I think may pose some kind of threat to me. In KV's case, surely that kind of caution would mean he was wise enough not to invite prostitutes into his home. I don't see my view as victim blaming. He is an intelligent man, with responsibilities to his wife, children and to his work. I was a public servant (much lower in the pecking order than Mr V of course) and I knew that I'd to inform my employer if I got so much as a speeding ticket. If I'd been caught out by a sting like this, I'd have know I should resign.
