Snapchat now let's you add bitmoji to online geofilters.

Well, you learn something new every day, don't you.
I think I'm on the wrong planet here! Well I am definitely out of date.......

MaizieD Sat 19-Nov-16 08:57:22

Can't help you at all. Don't have a clue what you're talking about!
21st century is passing me by...

mrsmopp Sat 19-Nov-16 09:04:32

Oh, we are SO last century!!
And proud of it...

ninathenana Sat 19-Nov-16 09:19:18

Well I don't know what I'm going to do with that piece of information mrsmopp but thanks anyway grin

mrsmopp Sat 19-Nov-16 09:53:54

Ask a four year old. ?

vampirequeen Sat 19-Nov-16 10:41:24

Errm....Snapchat now allows you to add something to something else when you're online.....I'm getting old grin

mrsmopp Sat 19-Nov-16 10:55:29

glad it's not just me struggling to cope with the modern world.
Methinks I need a new dictionary!

Anniebach Sat 19-Nov-16 11:24:42

Good grief, and I haven't even gone metric yet

Christinefrance Sat 19-Nov-16 13:10:08

The curse of technology strikes again. May have to adopt a toddler to help me through.

Galen Sat 19-Nov-16 13:35:57

What's metric?

mrsmopp Sat 19-Nov-16 13:39:43

Bring back pounds and ounces; feet and inches, even pounds, shillings and pence.
We knew where we were in those days....

Mumsy Sat 19-Nov-16 14:17:53

if we are metric how come we cant buy a box of 10 eggs!?

rosesarered Sat 19-Nov-16 14:20:30

Things started going wrong when we had to call a two shilling piece 'ten pee!' grin

Must drop that into the next conversation I have with my daughter.

wanders off to memorise wink

Anniebach Sat 19-Nov-16 14:26:35

You are being difficult Mumsy, we can buy a dozen eggs , what would a box of ten be called? grin how about a full box of eggs for 10, and half full box for five ? Ooooops, the cartons would have to be changed

Jalima Sat 19-Nov-16 14:33:14

I must find out what Snapchat is before I comment.

Jalima Sat 19-Nov-16 14:35:07

Apparently Life's more fun when you live in the moment!
with Snapchat.

I thought that I always live in the moment, I may think about the past and plan for the future but it would be difficult to live other than in the moment.

Back to the Future anyone?
with a bitmoji?

rosesarered Sat 19-Nov-16 14:37:35

Only if I can have a chocolate chip one.

Katek Sat 19-Nov-16 14:48:28

I know that a bitmoji is your own personal emoji but I don't know what a geofilter is!

Jalima Sat 19-Nov-16 17:34:58

Here you are Katek
Geofilters are a fun way to share where you are, or what you're up to, by adding a fun overlay to your Snap. If you have location services and Filters enabled, Geofilters appear at thousands of places around the world. After you take a Snap, swipe to see what's around!

Well, that's what they say it means but I am none the wiser!

Jalima Sat 19-Nov-16 17:37:01

Um ..

ElaineI Sat 19-Nov-16 17:41:56

Don't give anyone the idea of reducing the number of eggs in an egg box like they have reduced the toblerone triangles and maltesers in a bag! grin

mrsmopp Sat 19-Nov-16 17:55:47

For those who do not understand, well, before today, if you had online geofilters, you could not add bitmojis to them, but from today, thanks to snapchat, you can!
Wots so hard about that? ?

daphnedill Sat 19-Nov-16 17:56:45

A geofilter is just a title to a picture, so if you're on holiday, you can overlay the picture with something like a postcard, eg 'Greetings from Blackpool'. Obviously you can be a bit more creative than that and, apparently, can use a personalised bitmoji.

Never tried it myself, but my daughter is currently on a four month trip round South America and sometimes sends me Snapchat pictures with geofilters.

Jalima Sat 19-Nov-16 18:01:48

Thanks mrsmopp grin

And thank you daphnedill
At least if the DD mention it I will not sound so ignorant now!
