Think of this, ankers - If no-one were allowed to criticise him, how would anyone know that he is very likely to have done things that he should not? Would he appear as a gentle, truthful, diplomatic example of a perfect statesman, guiding his country skilfully through the minefields of interacting with other countries? As an honourable and considerate multi-national bsinessman, and not a carpet-bagging braggart?

A great deal is known about the man and his business and personal practices. He bullies women and boasts of grabbing them by the pussy, he denigrates anyone who doesn't praise him he puts pressure on individuals to bow to his wishes and on governments to bias national decisions in his favour.

These are not vague untruths about the man. They are genuine accusations by real people.

The likelihood of his using similar tactics in the many other countries where he has business interests are very high, as are the chances of him doing the same in governing america and conducting international relations.

He could follow the example of totalitarian leaders throughout the ages, and be his own secret service, or use them himself for nefarious purposes. However, that does defeat the purpose of having an independent agency which can seek out wrongdoing anywhere and by anyone - including by the highest and most powerful in the land, that is the president himself. That is part of the system of checks and balances that make sure no-one becomes too powerful. He should not be above the law any more than anyone else is.

He seems to be the only voice crying out that they are up to no good. How can everyone be wrong except oor Donald? He has been known to tell lies in the past, and change his story to suit humself.

Looks to me like you might be in a minority Ankers however there are no doubt thousands of redneck Americans who can see no wrong.

Sometimes you really have to look at what is said and written and by whom. Reputable sources and all that.

But then we are back to what whitewave was doing. And I dont think you would want anyone to make up fake things about you either, and then get someone or a newspaper to say that the case about you is unproven.

It is of course your personal opinion Ankers and you are entitled to it. However many reliable sources think otherwise and have grave reservations about Trump's probity.
Regarding criticism, I think that once a person aspires to public office, he can expect to be under closer scrutiny than the private individual. Trump's dodgy business dealings, his questionable personal behaviour and his frankly shocking sexist and racist attitudes are clearly out there in the public domain.

The CIA and the FBI are charged with the security of the USA. This president-elect would apparently rather take the word of Putin and the Federal Security System of Russia than those charge with keeping his nation safe.

Does that sound like the thought processes of a rational person?
