He wants a law to set a limit on wages of high earners !

rosesarered Tue 10-Jan-17 13:22:30

...but you have posted on it!grin
I expect it's not intellectual enough for you, and yes this thread is probably for non pompous posters.

Anniebach Tue 10-Jan-17 13:44:15

I am with Iam. Not all party mrmbers are members of momentum and not all are corbynites, our local party has lost half it's members .

I hear labour MP's are texting - what is he on about now

Anniebach Tue 10-Jan-17 13:45:34

I don't do pompous and how can there be a discussion when the man is talking fog

petra Tue 10-Jan-17 13:53:57

GracesGranMK2 The snide remark Re the DM was wasted as it was printed in the left wing bible, otherwise know as the Gaudian. And I expect most people heard it on BBC radio 4 and the BBC news website.
So, if it's printed in the DM it's not true, but if it's in the gaudian it is ?
I knew someone would come along to spoil our fun smile

Anniebach Tue 10-Jan-17 13:56:53

I strongly object to my thread title being classed as DM

petra Tue 10-Jan-17 13:57:07

Beammeupscottie That was tongue in cheek.

rosesarered Tue 10-Jan-17 15:11:23

It's certainly not you that is being pompous ab , nor does this thread have anything to do with the DM , it's all about the ever changing policies of a certain Mr J Corbyn, and what we think of them......haha.

Beammeupscottie Tue 10-Jan-17 15:14:56

I know Petra, but just couldn't resist!
How can anyone have a serious discussion about Corbyn when he is patently such a joke. Some people are so po-faced and pompous. Especially his Greenham Common Refugees who protect his flank and shout foul when he is confronted by the Press.

Ana Tue 10-Jan-17 15:24:00

Just think how boring GN would be if all the posts on threads were 'discussion based'...hmm

POGS Tue 10-Jan-17 15:24:03

GG MK 2

Perhaps it would make more sense of your time if you gave an opinion on Corbyn's change of heart re immigration, which I don't think he should be doing or saying, also his wanting to cap wages in law. It has nothing to do with the Daily Mail any more than it is to do with the BBC or other left/right wing media outlets that are commentating/reporting his words.

I think it can be taken as a given you hold, shall I've polite, a dislike of the Daily Mail, Murdoch, Tories as we have noted in past posts from yourself and indeed other posters, some of whom are happy to call themselves activists so no surprise there.

There are many threads on right wing politics, oh so many threads, copious amounts of threads, if you only want to engage in those threads that is your prerogative and simply requires leaving a thread to others to post on.

Intimating posters belong in the playground , are children is one could say is in the eye of the beholder.

POGS Tue 10-Jan-17 15:37:25

Iam

'POGS just a small point. You refer to the Labour membership as though each and every one of them are Corbynisters.'

I fully understand and agree with your point.

When I said he has to bridge the gap and mentioned Labour Members I was talking of those from Momentum , those who joined or rejoined Labour after he was nominated and successfully won the Labour Leadership . I don't think there is much of argument in saying they are Corbynistas.

It is difficult to know or understand how to describe Labour at the moment.

Listening to his speech live now.

Anniebach Tue 10-Jan-17 15:49:27

I am listening to him, hell he is so boring ,

Beammeupscottie Tue 10-Jan-17 16:06:38

I've had to switch him off; his silly voice gives me stomach-ache. Whatever he is saying is wasted on me. I suppose the gist of it is that he can run the Country better than all the other Parties, when, in fact, every tine he is let out to perform, the membership of other parties goes up.

POGS Tue 10-Jan-17 19:24:44

As I thought 'muddled' thinking.

I think this take on Corbyn's proposals in his Peterborough speech sums up the day for me in a nut shell.

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jeremy-corbyns-double-pirouette-relaunch-a-timeline-a7520076.html

If you don't have the likes of Danny Blanchflower , ex Bank of England well known Labour supporter on your wave length then why should anybody take much notice. Blanchflower called it 'Lunacy'.

Anniebach Tue 10-Jan-17 20:08:55

I heard Blsnchflower too.

So does anyone know where Corbyn thinks he is leading the Labour party , if so, do tell me please ,i was lost before lunch

Iam64 Tue 10-Jan-17 20:24:21

Thanks for the Independent link Pogs - I hadn't seen that. A chronology of a day in the life of the Labour leader, oh dear. It doesn't get any better does it.

The country needs effective opposition parties. Theresa May talks a good talk, e.g. her speech on mental health services but the government should be facing real opposition to its continued attacks on public services.

rosesarered Tue 10-Jan-17 20:33:06

I think it's still far too early to judge May.
Corbyn is floundering about and nobody knows what his messages/policies are, it could be this or that, maybe we will try the other etc etc.

Jalima Tue 10-Jan-17 20:48:40

GracesGranMK2 Tue 10-Jan-17 13:19:28
not playing with you lot, so there.

So that must be the most childish post on here. grin

Ana Tue 10-Jan-17 21:12:21

Yes indeed. So 'grown up'...

Meanwhile, Corbyn's speech has inspired the nation! Not.

Anniebach Tue 10-Jan-17 21:18:16

Cannot accept inspired, I am confused , almost as much he seems to be

Mair Tue 10-Jan-17 21:24:51

POGS
Corbyn has not had a change of heart on immigration. He was just playing to the Northern gallery and today he has said he would accept free movement in order to be in the Single Market! hmm

If he actually did want to end free movement what a damn silly thing to reveal to Merkel! Of course he doesnt. He is an open borders international Marxist.

Ana Tue 10-Jan-17 21:25:54

Didn't you notice the 'Not' at the end of my sentence, Annie? grin

POGS Tue 10-Jan-17 21:55:19

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38568116

'Two economists who have advised Mr Corbyn in the past also expressed misgivings.

Danny Blanchflower said it was "totally idiotic, unworkable" idea while Richard Murphy suggested it made "no economic sense", telling BBC Radio 4's World at One Mr Corbyn "needs to sit down and get some proper advice".'

As they are both highly regarded, not only by posters on GN who refer to Richard Murphy in particular on a regular basis by providing links, but by left wing media outlets and commentator's I wonder if they will have much of an airing over their thoughts on the Corbyn Peterborough Speech.

Anniebach Tue 10-Jan-17 22:13:49

Ana, I need a holiday, i read nation LOT not nation NOT blush sorry

petra Tue 10-Jan-17 22:49:29

Blue links on there way, any time soon wink
