Paul Nuttell is according to the poles is 10% ahead in the Stoke bi-election, so I thought I would look at some of his beliefs. I was astounded at how similar they are to Trumps.

1. Privatisation of the NHS - this has been taken from his website because he needs the votes. Privatisation of the NHS doesn't attract votes.

2. Wants a referendum to vote on restricting woman's rights. He is anti-abortion, and believes that there should be a ban on adverts for family planning and abortion.

3. Burka ban. In all public buildings.

4. Against banning discrimination against gays.

5. So he believes in placing restrictions on Muslim belief/culture, but is against any restriction to Christian beliefs.

6. Thinks sexist comment are OK, and against placing restrictions on these type of comments.

No wonder he was so thrilled when Trump won the election.

At last you've got it mair

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 21:05:11

They might begin to cheer up a bit when they read the white paper. rose

Mair Thu 02-Feb-17 21:04:24

No WW I simply reminded you of your false accusation from which you subsequently back peddled.
This is tedious.

rosesarered Thu 02-Feb-17 21:04:15

Hello ww

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 21:03:52

Still going round in circles mair I suppose if you say it often enough you hope that people will be stupid enough to believe it. Well I've got news for you!!!

rosesarered Thu 02-Feb-17 21:03:50

A good thing about triggering article 50 and moving on towards leaving the EU ( apart from the obvious) is that younger people who have been awful on social media will realise the sky isn't crashing in on them and it will stop.

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 20:58:51

Well hello rose

rosesarered Thu 02-Feb-17 20:57:15

ww I have read this entire page and it is quite obvious that you have taken a post to mean you personally. Why is this? There has been a lot of hate directed to pensioners and older people on social media ever since last June. It's a sad fact of life, and those younger people who say it will live in all towns and cities.

Mair Thu 02-Feb-17 20:57:07

I have seen posts and comments on other group sites and have to say that in fact the worst remarks etc which could be called 'hate filled' have been by Brexiters and often directed at a mild post from a Remainer so for you to suggest that it is only Remainers posting these comments is entirely wrong

Welsh
WhiteW suggested it was UKIP that so called 'hate' was coming from, although I have seen no evidence of that.

I do know there has been a great deal of "hate" coming from SOME Bremainers towards Northern working class people, suggesting they are stupid, unfit to vote, jealous of immigrants, not to mention all the usual vicious name calling, racist, xenophobe, bigots.

Equally horrible has been the criticism of older people and vile suggestion that they (i.e. we angry ) might not live much longer so should have no say in the referendum! Outrageous! By the same token people with a life limiting health condition shouldnt have a say, people who engage in a dangerous occupation perhaps not either! Maybe only fit and healthy under thirty fives should have been granted a vote?

Surely you can see just how divisive and offensive this kind of talk has been?

I have to say I personally havent seen any such 'hate' coming from Brexiters, but clearly I dont frequent the same websites as you.

POGS Thu 02-Feb-17 20:55:31

I just have to remind people 'Sputnik' is presented by George Galloway and Corbyn and Dianne Abbot use to be popular choices for being interviewed.

Russia Today and 'Sputnik' can be propagandist at times I agree.

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 20:48:51

mair you are going around in circles.

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 20:47:50

welsh the Brexiters aren't going to be filled with joy when they take in what was in the
White paper either. If you are interested it's on th Article 50 thread.

Mair Thu 02-Feb-17 20:43:26

You are trying divert attention from your delusion that I had said you personally used hate speech even though YOUR accusation is there clear in black and white!

"Where have I ever shown hate to northerners and gleefully anticipating the death of older people?"

I repeat:

But I never claimed YOU did!

Do you accept that now?

Some Bremainers did though.

Welshwife Thu 02-Feb-17 20:43:17

I have seen posts and comments on other group sites and have to say that in fact the worst remarks etc which could be called 'hate filled' have been by Brexiters and often directed at a mild post from a Remainer so for you to suggest that it is only Remainers posting these comments is entirely wrong.
Up till now I have assumed that the posts have been in the main from members of the EDL type groups. I have not gone to these sites searching but seen them posted as examples by others - some have been quite sickening.
The groups I normally look at are ones designed to assist people who are being affected by this vote in their daily lives. It is of interest to me as it is highly likely to affect us - and of course it will affect others on here too. Information is shared and they also give people an idea of where to search for practical information - people who have been living in UK but are EU nationals may well find themselves in a difficult position and face their families being separated. Some children at school or college are already being told they cannot apply to go to the next school or college as they are Brits - there is a lot of misinformation about and people thinking UK has left the EU already.

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 20:00:07

Exactly -it's no good trying to turn it onto me your post was absolutely out of order. I was merely talking about politics in my community and you come in with the working class hate and death to old ladies. You were wrong and are wriggling.

Mair Thu 02-Feb-17 19:55:54

WW said:

That is exactly my point I. Knew it wasn't about me but about my criticism of ukip.

Then why on earth did you make it about you and feign offence?
And why on earth were you so disgustingly rude to me?

This was your earlier post:

Where have I ever shown hate to northerners and gleefully anticipating the death of older people?

Then VERY RUDELY:

You really need to moderate your languagemair it is disgusting just listen to yourself, it sounds unhinged

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 19:50:13

Is that poster going to be your evidence for hate filled remainers? As I said this isn't about Brexit it is about UKIP. Stop trying to change the subject

Mair Thu 02-Feb-17 19:46:05

JessM

Do you accept Jess that this poster from the Bremain side was divisive and hate filled, encouraging Asians and espeecially Asian women to fear and hold a negative view of white working class men and protraying an extremely negative sterotype of such men which would NEVER be acceptable about any other group?

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 19:45:04

That is exactly my point I. Knew it wasn't about me but about my criticism of ukip. It would have been far more honest of you to have said so rather than go into meltdown and produce a tirade about hating northern working classes and wishing old people dead. You need to get a grip

Mair Thu 02-Feb-17 19:41:05

I repeat your reaction was as a reaction to my post about ukip

Yes of course it was, but it wasnt about YOU, it was about some Bremainers.

To believe it about you is as paranoid as it would be for me to suggest that your swipe about UKIP alleged haters was about me!

Of course it wasnt, was it?

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 19:18:33

I repeat your reaction was as a reaction to my post about ukip.

JessM Thu 02-Feb-17 19:16:49

LOL.
And your friend Nigel, as you call him, never does anything hate-filled does he?
We will long remember that awful poster he unveiled during the referendum in which he conflated the migrant crisis with EU migration. (The one with the long line of refugees)
Being unpleasant on Twitter is not acceptable of course. But if people choose to engage in political debate on such a platform and get some unpleasant responses that is of a very different order to the intimidating racist abuse by strangers that is whipped up by propaganda such as "Nigel's" shameful referendum poster. And that is experienced by Muslim women who are just going about their daily lives.

See this BBC clip that includes lovely Nadia of Bakeoff fame talking about the problem.

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 19:15:14

Where? Give me anywhere where I have said Brexiters are filled with hate. What I did say to repeat is that we are relatively free in my community from the divisive and hate filled rhetoric of ukip. What part of that do you not understand.

Jalima Thu 02-Feb-17 19:12:36

Oh dear .....

Mair Thu 02-Feb-17 19:08:51

WW

No it was a reaction to your talk of 'hate' which I know you were intending to imply came from Brexiters, when in fact it came from Bremainers.
