This Guardian article highlights the critical state of medical staffing in many NHS trusts. They are having to pay over the odds to get doctors to give the needed cover in A and E etc. I was talking to a young doctor the other day at a social event. She said that 50% of the graduates in her year had not entered the NHS training scheme and were abroad/ working as locums etc
