So if the 60% are split between UKIP, Libs,Labour ,Greens and 40% are Tory the msjority party wins power, unless you think the country should have a coilition UKIP,Lib,Labour and Green government. Err yes?
I think it will end after the Tories have been taken to court over the election fraud. May will have to call a general election then, as she will have lost her majority, in my opinion.
You seem to have forgotten the thstcher years whitewave, it may not have been a divided part of the country where you were living but it was war in South Wales
Certainly nothing wrong with that Jen and there are even a handful of Tories who might move over if the reaction to Grammar schools is anything to go by.
Yes, I've been reading about that, Gracesgran. Do you reckon May is using the education debacle to deflect from her other problems? If so, it isn't working.
The fraud thing is on - there at least a dozen police services looking into the fraud, and at least one dead cert that may become a bye election - Thanet, along with a number of others.
I think May believed in this Jen and I can understand why. In her day the Class system was very structured and a Grammar School education put in another layer between working and upper class which people couldn't otherwise have reached. I just don't think that has been the case over recent years. Comprehensives have added to the flattening of the class system and what still exists has unsurmountable jumps from one level to another for most people - however clever and hardworking they are. The problem is not giving our children a special school for the gifted and talented offering each child an appropriate academic and skills education within the same environment.
ana you need to ask the police who are carrying out the investigations and the CPS about that - it hasn't yet been decided. You can bet your life that there are frantic representations behind the scene by the Tory Party.
ana There is 100% certainty that Thanet was fraudulent - I.e. Election rules were broken.. Others are still being considered, but there is little doubt that these will be found to have broken the same rules. This will surely make the election results invalid. Tories are fond of breaking the rules aren't they. Duck house anyone?
No I agree other MPs have overclaimed their expenses we know that, but the Tories do it so much better than other party MPs. And don't forget that this was the whole Tory Party not just an isolated MP.
