Brexit all done and dusted?

As an arch REMOANER I for one (of many) will not simply roll over and say that is that. As things progress at the very least parliament must ensure that the country does not Brexit in a bad way because of "The Will of the People". So many lies were told by both side at the time of referendum that when the full facts come to light a re-think should be considered.

I have yet to hear a sound reason for voting LEAVE. Of course the EU is far from perfect but we are better trying to change it from within than sniping from outside. A general election or second referendum before the point of absolute no return.

I happen to be visiting Brussels on an educational trip after Easter so until then I will put up and shut up unless really provoked.

You know very well that saak was claiming that the upper classes loved the cheap labour - why do you insist on twisting the meaning of others' posts to suit your own agenda?

MawBroon Fri 14-Apr-17 20:57:35

Is anybody arguing with youSAAK ?

durhamjen Fri 14-Apr-17 20:50:27

It's a shame you are pleased about cheap labour.
Corbyn wants £10 an hour minimum wage. That will get rid of it.
Everyone should welcome that.

Im just saying that there are many other childcare professions other than nannies.

MawBroon Fri 14-Apr-17 20:45:39

Did anybody suggest you were ?

stillaliveandkicking Fri 14-Apr-17 20:44:35

And Maw, do I have to be a nanny? to look after children?

stillaliveandkicking Fri 14-Apr-17 20:43:48

Unfortunately due to greed people who came over weren't properly integrated at all.

MawBroon Fri 14-Apr-17 20:40:42

You said you are in the "child care industry (?)"

Nannies?

stillaliveandkicking Fri 14-Apr-17 20:38:37

*were

stillaliveandkicking Fri 14-Apr-17 20:38:25

Can't say where I work but Ive watched it all, believe me. The upperclass where such "champions" of immigration, however I didn't see one of them befriending a migrant. Loved the cheap non complaining labour though, loved it.

durhamjen Fri 14-Apr-17 20:37:00

What's it got to do with class?

stillaliveandkicking Fri 14-Apr-17 20:34:46

The class divide has become so vast, I wonder why? I was becoming almost ashamed to say I was English. Now I'm not.

stillaliveandkicking Fri 14-Apr-17 20:32:32

So what if I voted UKIP, what are you trying to say Durhamjen. Farage was the only one with balls enough to state what has actually been going on.

petra Fri 14-Apr-17 20:22:13

All I know is that on the 24th of June this year I will have another party to celebrate that glorious day.
In fact I think I'll have one on that glorious day every year for as long as I'm able. And when I'm not my daughter will have to take over the baton.

Jalima1108 Fri 14-Apr-17 20:18:04

but he doesn't vote for UKIP

Jalima1108 Fri 14-Apr-17 20:17:34

and I know of at least one who has probably travelled more extensively than most Gnetters .....

Perhaps that gave him some insight smile

Jalima1108 Fri 14-Apr-17 20:16:10

Well, they can't all be .....

Ana Fri 14-Apr-17 20:15:39

Do you actually believe ALL those who voted to leave the EU were UKIP supporters, durhamjen? Is that the only way you can make sense of their decision?

Ana Fri 14-Apr-17 20:13:10

Here we go again with the UKIP accusations...

durhamjen Fri 14-Apr-17 20:12:56

Told you, Jalima, UKIP supporter.

stillaliveandkicking Fri 14-Apr-17 20:06:09

I'm not an armchair politician.
I did hear from all sides, how could you not.
I was more in agreement with Farage. You get told to shut up and put up for so long this was music to my ears and millions more by all accounts smile
Hmmm, who was it now who was overheard saying that a woman was a bigot for voicing concerns over immigration? Funny that it is a very big problem.

Jalima1108 Fri 14-Apr-17 20:02:08

confused has saak said he/she is UKIP? Not everyone who voted Leave is a UKIP supporter or very right wing.
or did I miss something?

durhamjen Fri 14-Apr-17 19:57:52

I thought UKIP was very right wing, saaki.

NfkDumpling Fri 14-Apr-17 19:57:33

There is one thing which has been puzzling me. I voted to leave but like most never really expected the result to go the way it did as the propaganda was so much for remain. So, the government had every excuse to take the referendum as just a suggestion, say it was too close to call and ignore it apart from using it as a lever to gain concessions from the EU. So why didn't they? They could have easily and had the backing of the opposition. Apparently. I've been smelling a rat for a while. I suspect a hidden agenda. There's something we don't know and I think we're all being taken for fools. I think its all a put up job.
