TM is clear on the fact that she won't agree to free movement, and as far as I can see that's Labour policy as well.
It probably depends on yours and their definition of "freedom of movement" Fitzy.

I imagine it depends on how rich you actually are. If you think you can be comfortable while the Conservatives attack everyone else, I am afraid they have drained that well dry. You - if you have been alright so far - and anyone who has escaped the attacks so far will be next. Obviously the very rich may be an exception under the Conservatives.

Aren't you Keynesian at home Fitzy? When things are good you save for a rainy day and when they are not you invest in anything that can increase your income. Or do you follow the Tory mantra and starve yourself while not actually paying off your debt. Whoever gets in the situation is not good and nothing the Conservatives have done has improved it so neither will be able to be adverse to taxing where they feel they can. I would be happier if those who have benefited so far, including pensioners, except the very poorest, all paid their bit now. We have surely had enough people staying comfortable on the backs of the poor and less able.

Ab, I can understand your position but at least you don't have to vote Tory. I cannot understand people who have voted Labour all their lives and claim to prefer their principles doing an about turn and voting Tory. Better to spoil your vote under those circumstances. I hear such people saying they like TM because she is a strong leader. Strong for what? A Hard Brexit, a dismantling of the welfare state, a favouring of the rich over the poor or any combination thereof? We face huge constitutional and economic changes post this election which will last decades, perhaps centuries. We cannot afford to get it wrong. 'Strong' does not always equal 'the best for everyone'. History teaches us that some 'strong' leaders got it very badly wrong to everyone's cost.

Varian, The WEC will choose our candidates, not one labour MP has stood down so there are 15 seats fir Lsbour to fight.

Kirsty is very much liked in the Assembly - with the exception of Neil Hamilton who called her Caerwen's concubine ! If she has decided to stand for parliament I am sure the WEC will select her , Leanne is dithering on standing for Plaid in the Rhondda, I doubt she will.

If Kirsty is selected and if my protégé decides not to stand this time I will probably vote for Kirsty , she will win
