Voting quandry

I'm a life-long Labour voter but cannot bear to suppprt Corbyn in the forthcoming election. The party will remain a shambles until it is under proper leadership and he seems to have totally lost the plot. I will not vote Conservative for many reasons and I feel betrayed by Theresa May's u-turn on Brexit, u-turn on not calling an election...there is no trust.

I will not abstain - the vote is a privilege. But for the first time I am seriously at a loss. There is no credible opposition. Locally there are no viable candidates that I feel I can endorse in order to make a point. I need to put my X in the box and it's the first time ever I've thought they are all as bad as each other.

What on earth have any of our voting preferences got to do with you dj? It's not a question I'd ask my own family.
Mind your own business comes to mind!

I don't think anyone has any right to know how people intend to vote. If they want to tell us voluntarily that's a different matter.

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 17:15:42

Annie has told us who she has voted for in every other election. She has also told us that she can't stand the leader of her party, and why.
No reason for her to be shy now, particularly as she has told those who support Corbyn that they are trots and communists quite regularly.

dj

I don't think that is a question you have any right to answer to.

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 17:06:15

So who are you going to vote for, Annie?

nigglynellie Sun 07-May-17 16:49:07

sunshine

Anniebach Sun 07-May-17 16:29:41

Niggly X

Anniebach Sun 07-May-17 16:28:54

Jen, if only my vote alone would get rid of Corbyn I would do my country a favour and vote lib/Tory/Plaid/independant/green,

Thank you for explaining the connection between Welsh Labour and the Corbyn-Momentum leader , I didn't know .

But there is a difference between Welsh Labour and Corbyn-Momentum Party come to think of it, like the msjority of msny decent labour MP's , we disassociate ourselves from the excuse for a leader, the one who supported the IRA and Hamas but speaks out against all violence , bloody hypocrite

nigglynellie Sun 07-May-17 16:08:50

What a brilliant reaction annie! So much better than indignation!!sunshine]

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 15:54:19

So Annie, who will you vote for?
I know you think that Welsh Labour is different, but in a general election you get the leader of the party in number 10.
Are you really going to vote for a different party to ensure that Corbyn doesn't get in?

Anniebach Sun 07-May-17 15:51:34

after the losses on Thursday wait for the Labour manifesto, I am hoping for free holidays for all, all the ills of the country will be solved with higher tax from 5% of tax payers . He will promise so much now just to avoid a greater loss than Thursday , all he cares about is remaining leader.

I do have a lovely pine rocking chair but born and brought up in Wales I was never a lass, so very 'when the boats come in' ye lass ?

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 15:41:39

Yawn.

Ana Sun 07-May-17 15:41:04

Yes, it must be very tiring being so bitter and twisted...

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 15:38:25

(yawn)

nigglynellie Sun 07-May-17 15:30:43

Honestly dj, do you have to be so patronising, Its SO tedious and pathetic. Can't you do us a favour and give it a rest?!!

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 15:20:50

I can just see you sitting in your rocking chair, Annie, all these young socialists at your feet, saying, "When I were a lass, we were really scared of all these reds under our beds. And we were right, so just you beware of the Corbyn or they'll come and get you just like they did....."

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 15:17:55

POGS said she agreed with it, roses. How come you can speak for her now as well as yourself?

Anniebach Sun 07-May-17 13:07:36

I hive been right all along Rosesarered. So obvious why so many labour MP's left the shadow cabinet when Corbyn was elected. Much praise is given to the young for joining , they have not the foggiest of the dangers of communism , this is troubling, many of us can remember when young how we were going to change the world , then we grew up.

rosesarered Sun 07-May-17 12:41:51

The question is, would they resign! He more or less said that they would do, but we shall see.

rosesarered Sun 07-May-17 12:40:21

Yes ab I was surprised about the Marxist thing on Andrew Marr.Watxhing his performance reminded me that the UK would not be in safe hands if ever Corbyn and Mc Donnell got into power.Which, God forbid, they won't be.

rosesarered Sun 07-May-17 12:37:14

POGS was not agreeing about ab as I think you realise durhamjen but about the 'Labour does not have good policies' from dd's post.

Anniebach Sun 07-May-17 12:10:13

A grievance is when you are hurt that you placed your trust in someone only to discover thst someone had worked against you and was not the honest person they pretended to be.

An idiot approaching seventy wearing a hat so very sixties isn't s grievance. It's sad the person looks a dickhead but it is amusing

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 12:08:48

I was just agreeing with you about that, POGS, as you were with daphne.

POGS Sun 07-May-17 11:30:30

I'm sure you do durhamjen , we all find each others petty grievances annoying and I am sure there are plenty who find yours ,daphnedil and mine annoying too.

Anniebach Sun 07-May-17 11:29:35

Eleothan, yes I have, but a fan? I admire the way he fought back against the militants even though Corbyn was working against him. I value the friendship, I think he would have been a good PM .
