That's a bum, can anyone cut and paste or something the manifesto that took me blood sweat and tears to do this morning please!!!???

daphnedill Sun 14-May-17 11:17:26

Errmm... Theresa May has stolen that idea dj. She's promised to get more council houses built!

Planning laws do need changing so that NIMBYs have less power.

Anniebach Sun 14-May-17 11:05:24

Where are these houses being built, will planning laws be changed so thousands of houses can pop up anywhere , perhaps he will take Windsor park off queenie.

You should vote Labour if you want an end to the housing crisis for your children and grandchildren.

" “Theresa May has been at every cabinet since 2010 and can’t sidestep her share of the blame for the Tory housing crisis. The number of home-owners has fallen by 200,000, homelessness has more than doubled and new affordable housebuilding is at a near-record low.

“After seven years of failure, the Conservatives have no plan to fix the housing crisis. A Labour government will back first-time buyers and build the homes we need, including 100,000 genuinely affordable homes to rent and buy a year by the end of the next Parliament.” "

Spoken by John Healey, who was Labour housing minister in the last Labour government as well as being shadow housing minister.
Michael Fallon committed no extra money for housing when on the Marr show today.

This too. No problem if you are not a Tory tax avoider.

As was said in a political discussion on labours manifesto, the only thing they didn't promise was a free puppy for every home . The list is ridiculously long ,as was said ,it is Corbyns next leader campaign

" Labour will hold a Public Inquiry into the Panama Papers leaks
Labour will force MPs to declare shares they hold in offshore accounts
Labour will set up Special HMRC Tax Unit dedicated to investigating MPs & Lords tax affairs
Labour will levy a new “withholding tax” levied on abusive tax havens & taxed at source
Labour will force large firms to lodge their tax returns publicly to aid public scrutiny
Labour will set up a new public file on the tax returns of all individuals earning more than £1m
No public contracts for tax avoiders. Any firm bidding must publish their last 5 years’ returns
Existing public contracts awarded to firms based in havens will be repatriated to the UK
New Register of Firms who bid for government contracts listing their tax records
New Register that records the beneficial ownership of companies flushing out silent partners
Register of Trusts, in particular offshore trusts such as those used by politicians recently
Labour will work with banks to promote good corporate governance
A General Anti-Avoidance Rule to prevent tax avoidance through loophole exploitation
Labour will prise open the tax records of Crown Dependencies to make avoidance harder
Create an Offshore Trusts Levy. This will capture purchases of UK property from offshore trusts
Labour will clamp down on the use of Advanced Thin Capitalisation Arrangements (ATCA).
Close the “Mayfair Tax” Loophole stopping individuals treating carried interest as capital gains."

This is how Labour will pay for their promises.
Can't imagine anyone disagreeing with all this - unless they are tax avoiders themselves, of course.

Never mind, you'll feel better after the results are announced and you can come on here and have a rant...

GracesGranMK2 Sat 13-May-17 20:04:35

There is hardly a smile between them varian and I don't understand how anyone can believe this change to 'kind and cuddly conservatism'. Do you believe Nanny May really means any of the understanding she is professing to show she understands the 'left-behinds' mmm ... now I wonder who destroyed their industries hmm Not the CONSERVATIVES!!! Why, oh why would anyone believe her?

varian Sat 13-May-17 19:52:20

Don't you think the extras in the background -presumably paid up members of Theresa May's team all look utterly miserable? I honestly can't understand why as we're told they're headed for a landslide victory. Perhaps they are just bored hearing S&S and all the other mantras or maybe they're embarrassed at this dishonest charade.

rosesarered Sat 13-May-17 19:36:31

An impressive crowd of tourists then?
What the heck does it matter, and all these silly names for T May.
It looks like she will be the PM for the next five years......and perhaps the five after that unless Labour gets it's act together and can somehow ditch Corbyn.

GracesGranMK2 Sat 13-May-17 19:17:05

The crowds in York looked very impressive Jen. Rather larger than Nanny May's invited audience and lickspittle journalists!

Did you realise the back to back Question Time's are going to be in York. A York audience for Nanny May; do you think she will make them sit on the naughty if they ask the wrong questions?

durhamjen Sat 13-May-17 18:10:49

Irony isn't telling lies.

Anniebach Sat 13-May-17 18:03:23

Problem is dj, you have stated since Corbyn became leader he was a pacifist , you attacked those he said he was not . Now he has said he is not a pacifist do you claim you were right, the truth is the truth is it not?

Ana Sat 13-May-17 18:00:44

Yes, I know you lived there for 10 years. As I said before, you just don't get irony, do you? smile

durhamjen Sat 13-May-17 17:54:33

I didn't call you pathetic. I said that what you said was pathetic. It was.
Strange you can't just accept that there are crowds of people in York centre at 4 pm. They really don't need to be photoshopped, or brought in by the coachload as suggested.
I lived there for ten years. I know how full the city centre is in May.
It's also only five minutes walk from York St John university.

Ana Sat 13-May-17 17:41:07

Er...dj had already called me 'pathetic' *MaizieD if you'd bothered to read all the posts.

MaizieD Sat 13-May-17 17:38:33

So you honestly think, Ana, that the Labour Party has someone tucked away in a back room dutifully photoshopping all pictures of Corbyn's election rallies?

And you call dj pathetic... hmm

Ana Sat 13-May-17 17:15:04

Pathetic durj! grin

durhamjen Sat 13-May-17 17:13:55

Maybot seemed to have equal numbers of men and women. You can count them if you want to. That was at an airfield in Northumberland.

durhamjen Sat 13-May-17 17:12:29

Yes, and they can also do the videos and everything.
Pathetic, Ana.
York Central has a labour MP. It will also be full of tourists at this time of year. Perhaps half of them were American, a quarter Italian, a quarter from Australia, a quarter from the Uk and another half from the rest of the EU, all wanting to see and hear the next PM of the UK.

Oh, dear that's more than 100%.
I am sure photoshop can do that, too.

Ana Sat 13-May-17 17:06:48

Photoshop can do that.

durhamjen Sat 13-May-17 16:53:11

Perhaps you should look at those photos in York rather than just make slurs. I would say there are twice as many men as women.

Anniebach Sat 13-May-17 16:33:54

Taking into account all the women who surround Jezza he has something which attracts soooo many women, such a sexpot

Anniebach Sat 13-May-17 16:23:10

Bus companies must be making so much money, busing in all the Momentum groupies
