That's a bum, can anyone cut and paste or something the manifesto that took me blood sweat and tears to do this morning please!!!???

GracesGranMK2 Wed 24-May-17 10:19:08

Well it has been a months long rant and it is full of hate for the man so what would you call it?

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 10:17:53

Hate? rather dramatic and soooooo over the top .

So criticising May, Farron, Sturgeon is political opinion

But criticising Corbyn is a hate rant

grin

GracesGranMK2 Wed 24-May-17 10:07:42

I seem to have other things to think about today than ABs anti-Corbyn hate rantings that never stop so I will not be on this thread.

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 09:33:15

And why did he say - with hindsight calling Hamas his friends was a mistake?

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 09:10:15

Invite the IRA to Westminster to talk only five weeks after the Brighton bombings ?

yggdrasil Wed 24-May-17 09:03:39

Annie said "I just do not understand how some here can support Corbyn, claim he has principles. He wrote for a publication which stated - a good start to the peace talks, five Tories dead, this about the Brighton bombing and he invited two mrmbers if the IRA to Westminster five weeks after the bombing."

It was the publication that stated some of those things. Corbyn wrote articles for it. He did NOT write those things himself.
There are people who write articles for the Daily Mail, doesn't mean they agree with all the vituperation of the editor.

Corbyn said, we should talk to the IRA and the Nationalist terrorists. Eventually we did, and got the Good Friday Agreement. Corbyn also said, we should talk to Hamas. If Netanahu would do that, we might get somewhere in Gaza too.

If you can't tell the difference between Corbyn's principles, and May's flip-flop to gain votes, I am sorry.

Yes, we got to the Transport Museum and two others but time ran out and feet/knees protested so we never got to the Ferens Art Gallery.
All very interesting and the bus service was good too!

Anniebach Tue 23-May-17 08:35:48

Good grief Jen, what a silly question, I would not have voted for such a person.

I did feel stupid for being so naive untill I read the article. by Joe Cox saying had made the mistake

GracesGranMK2 Tue 23-May-17 08:27:05

With the hiatus in the canvassing and interviews, etc., perhaps we can think of other things today too. I would find it good to have a pause and a think, so will sew most of the day I think.

paddyann Tue 23-May-17 00:19:55

I wont vote labour ,I DO see pictures and videos of him leading HUGE rallies all over England SO there are obviously a lot of people who do support him...we just dont see it in the media ..just like the SNP marches and rallies we dont see them either .I'd like to see Corbyn give MaggieMayhem a run for her moneyand after todays performance by her it doesn't look as though that would be too difficult to do

durhamjen Tue 23-May-17 00:12:46

Did you know that before you voted for him?

Anniebach Mon 22-May-17 23:32:09

I just do not understand how some here can support Corbyn, claim he has principles. He wrote for a publication which stated - a good start to the peace talks, five Tories dead, this about the Brighton bombing and he invited two mrmbers if the IRA to Westminster five weeks after the bombing.

Welsh Labour launched it's manifesto today

Corbyn in Hull.
Labour support changed 16 points in Wales.

durhamjen Mon 22-May-17 22:19:57

When we moved back to Hull in the 80s my husband was responsible for the refurbishment of Ferens Art Gallery. It's been refurbished again since then.
Another thing he was responsible for was the Transport Museum, and the Hasholme Boat. Beverley Road baths was closed for two years, as it was submerged there until they decided what to do with it, just in case you went to that museum.

Jalima1108 Mon 22-May-17 21:23:41

Not enough time really but visited museums etc. Very interesting

durhamjen Mon 22-May-17 21:18:49

Were you in Hull for the festival?
We really think we ought to go there sometime this year, while it's still the Festival of Culture.

Anniebach Mon 22-May-17 21:17:07

True Ana,

Jalima1108 Mon 22-May-17 21:14:33

He wasn't out and about djen, just waiting to start I think and waiting for Jeremy.

Ana Mon 22-May-17 21:09:58

Yes it seems to be very easy to twiddle a manifesto. They're all at it.

durhamjen Mon 22-May-17 21:06:10

I saw him on the news, but it looked like Cottingham, Jalima.

Anniebach Mon 22-May-17 21:05:30

The leader of English labour managed it

durhamjen Mon 22-May-17 21:03:59

How do you twiddle a manifesto?

durhamjen Mon 22-May-17 21:03:17

skwawkbox.org/2017/05/22/lifelong-tory-voter-hears-corbyn-speak-and-joins-labour-party-ge17/

Anniebach Mon 22-May-17 20:36:43

So this Corbyn man of principles refused to condemn the IRA because he is against all bombing, yet Hamas are his friends .

Who couldn!t honour his marriage vows because a choice of school was more important than the woman he exchanged the marriage vows with.

And has no problem with twiddling his manifesto
