I agree that the manifesto has been all wrong ( maybe for the right reasons)
And I also think that at some point taxes may have to go up.
What is really worrying though is the thought of Corbyn at the helm, massive amounts of even more borrowing adding to the national debt and him and McDonnell pursuing very far left policies, squeezing businesses until they burst(or leave the country) and mass nationalisation.All at a time when we have to negoiate with the EU.
It all makes the thought of Ed Miliband at the helm a delightful dream in contrast.

These so-called 'austerity measures' simply aren't working. There is only one solution and that is to raise more taxes. Not what some want to hear, but you get what you pay for in this world generally.

Not sure how May and cabinet will work out, but it has to be the better option for now!

So no new money for the NHS. It will be redistributed within the NHS.

I think the conservatives are gambling on not many people taking up the offer of free breakfasts, but if this results in lower childcare costs they may be sadly mistaken. On the today program today someone estimated could cost more like £200 million than the £60 million they've estimated.

It's the ballot box on voting day that counts, not trying to justify your opinions and invoking at times extreme hostility on this or any other forum. Best to keep quiet and keep your polling card safe!!!!

Elections of representatives was invented to stop people slaughtering one another physically to decide what to do next.

At first it was done publicly, but there was still bullying of voters and retaliation on those who went against how their landowner or employer instructed them to vote, so the screened voting booth was introduced.

Now we have trial by social network. Progress?

Some members have a deep and avid interest in politics, something I respect. However, there are others who have a less intense interest and who do not want to get involved in deep philosophical arguments but whose views should still be respected. I'm not saying GN should become all fuzzy and warm but I have never seen the point of insulting someone just because they disagree with a certain viewpoint. As far as I am concerned once someone resorts to insults they have lost the argument.

Me exactly Tizliz. I occasionally say something but am generally ignored or challenged in quite a nasty way so I shut up.

Exactly Elegran ( agree with some things and not others etc)
Some want a knock out blow and others like to win on points!
The quiet majority always carry the day on voting day though.
