Thanks Yggdrasil. I should have thought and checked. They were still saying the same thing as they did originally - Lib Dem. I could imagine that. I think the poll in that particular paper was very self selecting.

Can someone tell me why they think the Labour Party is accused of not being able to run the economy? This graph is from Fullfact and shows a strong and steady economy until the Global Crisis when it does, not unreasonably, increase but then, under the Conservative government it just goes up and up. This 'trust me' government really hasn't hacked it. It seems they have done just the opposite of what they promised.

The Tories have spent 9 years blaming Labour for the global crash. Blaming the bankers who really did it didn't match with their policies. So they started 'austerity'. Now for a few years, that was probably necessary, but most other countries stopped it as soon as they could and went for growth.
Here, it gave them the excuse of starving the NHS of what it needed, plus cutting back on public services and welfare.
They still need another 5 years or so to put it all into the private sector, so they & their supporters can take the profits.

Of course if for the last few years we'd had a Home Secretary who achieved what she set out to do then we'd have immigration cut drastically and a fully-resourced police force capable of tackling whatever terrorists throw at us.

Of course the Home Secretary under Labour foresaw these problems and didn't create them. Of course a new one under Labour will rectify everything that was started under their rule in the first place, because from where I'm sitting that's when this all came about.

I'm talking about the most recent Home Secretary's inability to deal with the problems on her desk for the last 7 years.
Why should we believe she can deal with problems now?

Why should we believe the at the creators of the problems will rectify them? Things are finally changing under the tories thanks to the brexit vote.

The problem of what was considered too much immigration could have been solved at any time if the UK Govt - of either persuasion - had used all the powers they had at their disposal. Other EU countries applied these powers and had the immigration they wanted/needed.
Successive UK Govts have blamed the EU for things which were their own failing - it was a convenient scapegoat. Now we will pay for these deceptions as we lose so much once we leave the bloc - but a few million of the electorate will be delighted for a while anyway.

Going off subject a bit but the polls are still all over the place.

When did other heads in other EU countries do this? From what I see, it's a very big problem for most. The EU is not a scapegoat its a bloody huge problem too.

Im voting Tory and so are most of my working class colleagues. I will rethink in 5 years. I want a hard brexit.

Rest of my colleagues are voting UKIP.

I noticed that ww. Apparently it's to do with new methodology on weighting. In the past, polls have usually overestimated support for Labour, because they haven't taken into account the poor voting record of young people, so they're trying out something new. Unfortunately, whatever the new method is doesn't seem to be working very well. Polls of individual constituencies are more accurate and should give a better picture.
