A Labour Government.

I am seriously getting worried, that that joke Corbyn might end up running he country, which will within months, put a new social policy in place to be paid for by the ones that work, and on their knees knees already, borrowing money, left right and centre, so that llike every labour government in history leave us in massive debts that will increase until, once again the country votes conservative to sort it all out. I probably won't be here it see that happen. I notuce the frugal life style Blair had, an example to all labour voters. He and his very rich family did very well out of it, pity the country didn't, particularly those youngsters sent to Iraq.

Do you believe that a labour government is stable enough to bring forth their manifesto promises? If so why?

stillaliveandkicking Mon 05-Jun-17 23:08:36

You cannot answer this can you jen, no labour supporter can at this time. The party is more or less mute. I would have far more respect for you if you admitted this and decided that it should learn and reform with an honest view of what can be achieved rather than pie in sky.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 05-Jun-17 23:28:39

I don't know where he was at the end of today Jen but there was a huge crowd.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 05-Jun-17 23:29:33

You are not Jeremy Paxman SAAK. No one have to answer you.

harrigran Mon 05-Jun-17 23:31:50

Gateshead, waste of time, preaching to the converted.

GracesGranMK2 Mon 05-Jun-17 23:49:38

I don't see why 'the converted' should not be treated as equal to any other voter harrigran.

This is where he was, GracesGran. He bought the Big Issue from a seller at the station. Prescott said even Blair didn't have these crowds.

By the way, the policeman dancing with the children at the Manchester show was from Darlington.
We're all heart in the North East.

I get it but people that keep firing off links and say not a lot evoke questions in me.

stillaliveandkicking Tue 06-Jun-17 00:06:32

weird post from jen.

what has police dancing with kids got to do with it? Prescott saying about crowds? more weird.

why are you voting labour jen? mind you I really don't care judging by your last post smile

In answer to the question, yes I do believe a Labour government would work positively to implement its manifesto. Prior to this election campaign, i commented negatively about Jeremy corbyn's leadership. During the campaign he's been a much more impressive potential PM than Theresa May. It isn't just that she's having a bad campaign, it's that Jeremy C is having a good one.
The manifesto is what we expect from the Labour Party.

I hope you feel just as strongly about things SAAK when we have food shortages because there have not been enough people to pick and pack the crops. It us no good saying that UK people will do the job as the farmers cannot get them to do it - the reason they have a good relationship with EU immigrants who return to the same places every year. These people are doing valuable jobs and pay taxes to fund our NHS and schools.

Anya Tue 06-Jun-17 08:04:51

GG2 re this SAAK person, I agree. Not only does one not have to answer her, but it's a waste of time even trying to engage, especially it seems later at night!

Anya Tue 06-Jun-17 08:09:09

I admit Iam64 that I've been impressed by his quiet dignity, his ability to engage with the questions thrown at him honestly and his plain speaking. He's come a long way from the hard-line back-bencher and at last settled into his role as a leader.

whitewave Tue 06-Jun-17 08:09:24

How are the polls? Anyone seen? I think Mays still likely to win.

Tegan2 Tue 06-Jun-17 08:42:18

I looked last night an, yes, May is still ahead. On the plus side, when I bought petrol yesterday in place of the usual Sun on a rack inside the garage was a free copy of our local paper saying 'Vote Labour on Thursday'. I did ask if it was due to me having a meltdown on seeing the Sun headlines in that very garage the week before and the lady behind the paper laughed and said that they put whatever newspaper they are told to on the rack each day but tend not to look at the 'gutter press headlines'. It amused me that said paper was on a rack paid for by the Sun. I do believe the tide is turning, but feel it is too late to stop the Conservatives winning.

Tegan2 Tue 06-Jun-17 08:43:05

...for paper read counter..[bit early in the morning for me.....

ninny Tue 06-Jun-17 10:25:35

Anya your post today 8.04 GG2 re this SAAK person, how condescending of you to say this SAAK person she is a gransnetter just like you.

Tegan2 Tue 06-Jun-17 10:31:27

I'm afraid you can only judge people on forums by the comments they make; you can take that whichever way you choose, ninny.

whitewave Tue 06-Jun-17 10:31:35

Well I wouldn't say she was just like anya perhaps more like you ninny

GracesGranMK2 Tue 06-Jun-17 10:37:33

General election polls: Odds tracker and maps in final week

Still showing a continuingly narrowing gap between Labour and the Conservatives but these figures were taken around the time of the Leaders Debate which TM boycotted. Much has happened since then.

GracesGranMK2 Tue 06-Jun-17 10:38:54

Anya - yes, SAAK has a very odd attitude to other posters; very strange.

GracesGranMK2 Tue 06-Jun-17 10:40:07

It has to be said (well I have to say) that ninny is making odder and odder comments too.

Perhaps it will be better after Thursday.

GracesGranMK2 Tue 06-Jun-17 10:41:03

Jen I should have known where all that warmth was coming fromgrin

angelab Tue 06-Jun-17 10:42:18

Personally for some reason I have always assumed that SAAK is a man fromm the tone of the posts.

Anya Tue 06-Jun-17 10:45:52

ninny I was responding to a series of rude, semi-liberate and personal attacks by that person. I had held off because I didn't want to descend to that level, but, honestly (!) some people only understand if you speak their language.

I have no problem with her holding different views from myself, in fact I welcome a good discussion. But, sorry if my phraseology upset you ninny. There is just so much blatant stupidity a person can take.

And to say 'this SAAK person' is infinitely more polite than the posts from that SAAK person.
