My prediction( not hope) is for TM to have about a 40/50 overall majority. I reserve the right to change this prediction up to the announcement of the exit poll. Anybody else have a prediction?

Most polls only sample 2000 voters. That means 3-4 per constituency.

...can't find it now....cup of tea and bed for me, I think. Will be a long day/night tomorrow....

Corbyn is not confrontational as May is and is IMO more likely to engage in productive talks over Brexit. Threats and platitudes about Brexit Means Brexit will get nowhere.
She inspires no confidence in me at all. Backtracking, mind-changing and repeating herself endlessly (Strong and Stable ad nauseum) without any substance to the manifesto - signs of good leadership? Really? Moreover she's homed in almost exclusively on Brexit - one wonders why she can't be drawn on anything much else...

Corbyn has my vote. He always did.

This is what Emily Thornberry thinks of May and the way she has behaved.

But, who cares what Emily Thornbury thinks of anyone?

kittylester Thu 08-Jun-17 06:43:41

Pigging phone. Emily Thornberry! My phone doesn't like her either.

durhamjen Thu 08-Jun-17 08:02:30

I do, as do many Labour supporters.

Survation poll. Survation got it right in 2015.

Anniebach Thu 08-Jun-17 08:22:24

Thornberry gets very cross if anyone mentions her Courtesy title

Tegan2 Thu 08-Jun-17 11:25:26

There was an article in newsnight last night in which people who knew her talked about May; although most of it was positive some was negative and it did come across as a PLB for the Conservative party. Maybe there has been one about Corbyn but I don't watch the BBC as often as I used to and the one closest to the election will always be the one that sticks in peoples minds.

Here's a prediction.

durhamjen Thu 08-Jun-17 16:08:56

Much better than looking at Johnson. I doubt anyone's said this about him.

Tegan, the post above could be your Jeremy equivalent.

durhamjen Thu 08-Jun-17 16:14:23

'The Regional Swings according to You Gov’s latest polling:

London – Lab to Con 0.1%
Rest of South – Con to Lab 5.6%
Midlands/Wales – Con to Lab 2.0%
North – Con to Lab 1.3%
Scotland – Lab to Con 7.2%, SNP to Con 11.5%'

Scotland could lose it if this is true.

jacksmum Thu 08-Jun-17 19:14:21

My concern is we will end up with a coalition ,con/lab and then this country will be in such a mess ,as they are so far apart in their views

Anniebach Thu 08-Jun-17 19:27:30

That would be a mess jacksmum

Ana Thu 08-Jun-17 19:33:06

Neither party would ever agree to a coalition.

daphnedill Thu 08-Jun-17 20:10:08

I agree with you for once Ana. There is absolutely no way there will be a Con/Lab coalition. I doubt very much whether there will be any form of formal coalition.

POGS Thu 08-Jun-17 20:16:51

My prediction.

Markets will be a guide as to the outcome.

Tory win £ will hold or rise.

Labour win £ will drop.

Iam64 Thu 08-Jun-17 20:53:44

My prediction is a tory win without the landslide predicted at the beginning. I am relieved that JC had a better campaign than predicted and I expected. I'm surprised that TM has done so poorly.
I saw a poll today (independent) that said the majority of voters would like to see a progressive alliance.
I don't expect any drop in the pound if there is a Labour win will last. The pound has been dropping since the Brexit vote, as have house prices.

daphnedill Thu 08-Jun-17 21:30:03

I don't think this election will make a huge difference to the markets. The UK is heading for a catastrophe, but the supposed "will of the people" must win.

There is no good Brexit solution. Basically, we're f**ked, unless we backtrack.

My only consolation is that it's going to be the Conservatives' job to sort something out. They're faced with an impossible job and I hope they get blamed for the inevitable disaster.

daphnedill Thu 08-Jun-17 21:33:36

I'm with you Iam64. I think what this election campaign has shown is that many people do want a different kind of society and established myths are being challenged. I feel quite optimistic about that, although I think that the next few years are going to be grim for everybody except the "I'm alright Jacks".

daphnedill Thu 08-Jun-17 21:35:41

I hope that the public is now clued up enough to chase the likes of Arron Banks and his Trumpist cronies from our shores. If not, I'll continue to make sure they are aware.

daphnedill Thu 08-Jun-17 21:36:53

POGS You really need to do some research about the value of the pound and its implications.
