I thought anniebach had made it perfectly plain that she supports Carwyn Jones for Welsh Labour and has been campaigning on behalf of Welsh Labour.
There are many Labour supporters, still party members, politicians, voters who do not think that Corbyn, McDonnell et al are, to use a cliché, the best thing since sliced bread and will be voting Labour through gritted teeth and with great reservations. I know some of them.
Unfortunately, most of them are not as brave as anniebach and have given up expressing their opinions out loud knowing the flack that they would receive.

The point is that in some areas it hasn't really stopped, as Annie says, so making it legal again woudn't make much difference.

Sorry annie I know you support the Tories, but they are intent on making it legal again. Have you missed that point?

Fox hunting hasn't stopped and the RSPCA will not do a thing if one reports a hunt , neither will the police.

Fox hunting is about the only thing I know Theresa May has always supported whitewave, or so she says. It must be the only thing she's never changed her mind about.

I've got a feeling that the winning party will not survive for long. Brexit will be a minefield for whichever government is in power. If it's a hung parliament there will inevitably be uncomfortable compromises to be made. If Theresa May wins she might soon be ousted as leader as she hasn't performed well during this campaign. The Tory backbenchers will stop her getting her own way anyway.
Well maybe not. Who knows?

When you vote for a Tory government today to not think that our dear country will be better for it

Do not think that mediocrity is the saviour of our future

Do not think that inequality will shrink

Do not think that a no Brexit deal will set us into the road to a bright future

I echo many of the issues raised. Until the Election votes are counted and we have the result no more can be said. Not just who won each seat (FPTP) but the overall count across the whole country. Our electoral system is one of relatively few in the world that has no PR factor. Even simply counting the total votes cast does not give a true reflection of how the people feel due to tactical voting, not all parties standing in all constituencies and apathy caused by the "my vote doesn't count" syndrome.

My hope for this election is that there will be a higher turnout especially among younger voters. We will have some of the figures needed to strengthen or not our protests about the system. Groups like "Make Votes Matter" and "Open Britain" will not just give up, they will continue to push for a true democracy.

Even though your vote may not be for a winning candidate, your preferred party can rock the boat as UKIP did in 2015. They brought out a generally not very pleasant aspect in much of our population. Their rhetoric now still shows intolerance and racism which does nothing to make life better.

I shall go and look at MN now as I am sure we are already getting a glimpse of what GN will be like. I am not a member but if it makes better reading than here that is what I shall do. Good OP Rigby.
