The exit pole predicting no overall majority.

Tegan2 Fri 09-Jun-17 03:43:12

Crikey....

Ginny42 Fri 09-Jun-17 03:46:36

Time to turn in I think. Very interesting but tiring night.

Goodnight to anyone still watching.

Tegan2 Fri 09-Jun-17 03:50:25

Goodnight [think I'm last man standing]...

daphnedill Fri 09-Jun-17 04:14:02

Just woken up. Wow!

Rigby46 Fri 09-Jun-17 04:14:46

I'm still herr

Maggiemaybe Fri 09-Jun-17 04:33:16

And so am I. Still wide awake, strangely!

Maggiemaybe Fri 09-Jun-17 04:39:03

Very disappointed that the reports of Philip Davies losing in Shipley were wrong. angry

daphnedill Fri 09-Jun-17 04:58:10

Rudd for PM?

daphnedill Fri 09-Jun-17 05:12:44

Bit confused. Anna Soubry has hung on to her seat.

Gutted that the Cons have won my seat with an increased majority. I knew they'd win, but the candidate really isn't good.

daphnedill Fri 09-Jun-17 05:13:31

Looks like you've got a LibDem MP rosesarered! grin

annsixty Fri 09-Jun-17 05:57:44

I wish we had. Con held on here.?

suzied Fri 09-Jun-17 05:58:05

Spectacular Tory c*ck up. May didn't need to call this election , she even changed the law to call one. The arrogance of May and her "team" is breathtaking. We'll have to go through it all again soon. She is toast.

suzied Fri 09-Jun-17 05:59:57

We have a new young woman Labour MP here in this part of South London with a 66% majority. Interesting times.

Mamie Fri 09-Jun-17 06:04:04

Hard Brexit off the table?

Azie09 Fri 09-Jun-17 06:14:44

Well well, good news. This reins in the Tories, will influence the Brexit negotiations towards a soft exit (maybe even a second referendum, oh please! !) and shows May's indecision and weakness (love The Sun's headline 'Theresa Dismay grin). I feel hopeful all over again.

MaggieMay60 Fri 09-Jun-17 06:45:39

Ah well at least Nicola Sturgeon has had a wake up call, she perhaps won't be so smug from now on and maybe she will shut up about the Scottish referendum! As for the rest, well life will still go on!

MaizieD Fri 09-Jun-17 06:49:50

Feeling quite delighted though very short of sleep:-) First time in 7 years that I haven't had that awful feeling in the pit of my stomach at the news of a poll result.
I just hope the EU 27 grant us a bit of a breathing space and let us defer starting Brexit negotiations for ever until we get sorted with our government arrangements.

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 06:50:51

Isnt all brilliant

Listen to the people

No mandate for Brexit

No mandate for social care

No mandate for austerity

No mandate for trashing the NHS

No mandate

Rigby46 Fri 09-Jun-17 06:56:54

But there will be another election won't there in the autumn? Stupid stupid stupid woman - party before country just like DC

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 07:01:38

How much has it cost the country?

An apology would be good

MaizieD Fri 09-Jun-17 07:01:47

We can't possibly have another GE and negotiate Brexit.
Can we?
Time is running out for the latter...

Rigby46 Fri 09-Jun-17 07:09:07

The price we are all to pay for her vanity project. We are in deep deep trouble the economic consequences of which don't bear thinking about. Why don't some Remain Tories cross the floor and help form a government of national unity? Oh flip just seen Zac's result

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 07:10:55

Bugger

Thats a good idea [rig]

whitewave Fri 09-Jun-17 07:13:19

Blimey hard reality beginning to set in. It is a dreadful mess isnt it?

Rigby46 Fri 09-Jun-17 07:13:27

But we would need Tories who could put country first < hollow laugh>
