She can't possibly stay - she's fatally wounded. Boris, Hammond and DD must be plotting as I post. Rudd a no-no, too close to her.

Johnson misunderstands his level of ability, someone needs to tell him.

We need someone with integrity, intelligence and someone who is respected by the whole country.

He fails on every single one

'If true, it's the biggest joke yet in British politics. Imagine BoJo as PM, negotiating Brexit. There are none more loathed in Brussels or the capitals of Europe than Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson. BoJo single-handedly invented the Euromyths journalistic genre as a vanity project. If Brexit is a divorce, this is like sending the person you cheated with in to sweet-talk your ex into a favourable settlement for yourself'...from facebook tonight...

[big sigh] oh dear

moon

durhamjen Sat 10-Jun-17 23:51:25

It's in the Sun, Jalima. Boris is going to make a bid.

Jalima1108 Sat 10-Jun-17 23:47:42

not Boris, please, even though I cannot dislike him.

Jalima1108 Sat 10-Jun-17 23:46:52

Hammond has been a bit of an enigma so far but obviously has a keen brain and a mind of his own which has not been evident - perhaps it is time to hear more of what he really thinks.

daphnedill Sat 10-Jun-17 22:26:36

Have you ever considered anybody outside your bubble?

daphnedill Sat 10-Jun-17 22:25:11

Luckylegs9 You quite clearly know little about the DUP, so I can't take anything you write seriously.

Quite clearly, you don't seem to understand much about the current zeitgeist either.

daphnedill Sat 10-Jun-17 22:21:49

I agree with you Tegan. Hammond would be the best of the bunch. I'm probably biased, because he's the product of an Essex comprehensive school - a school I know I well. I have more time for him than anybody else on the front bench. Apparently, May wanted to sack him for not towing the line - in my eyes that's a recommendation. It seems she doesn't have the courage to sack him - even more to recommend him. It's difficult to know what he really thinks.

Jonathan Pie.

Yes, it was, Tegan. Shame he kept the other half of it. Perhaps that will be remedied later in the year.

Ana Sat 10-Jun-17 19:40:38

ekes?

Tegan2 Sat 10-Jun-17 19:34:14

Boris's majority was halved wasn't it?

Luckylegs9 Sat 10-Jun-17 19:33:55

It should read, resign eventually on ill health grounds, putting some ekes in place. Thus I pad does what it wants most if the time.

Luckylegs9 Sat 10-Jun-17 19:31:54

I think it would be wrong
For T M to go, she needs to hang on in there and show some guts. The most important thing is to get trusted advisors round her, listen to them, she clearly hadn't good judgement herself. We need the best deal possible for Brexit, try to get on with the Irish Unionists, who would have thought it. Give up Katek on due yo ill fealty, put someone with personality and vision in her place, but who at the moment I don't know. Cancel the proposed plan for High Speed train, which would please most people, give saving equally between NHS and Care in the Community, thereby getting huge proportion of voters on side. Do what Labour does for 12 months, promise to hold cuts, the money tree might bear fruit who knows, win some friends and self respect. She has let a lot of hood people down by her ineptitude, she has to put it right and she can,

durhamjen Sat 10-Jun-17 19:24:31

Jeremy Hunt has lost a bit of credibility.
Louise Irvine, from the NHA, took over 12000 votes from him.

whitewave Sat 10-Jun-17 19:23:31

grin isn't that Gary????

Tegan2 Sat 10-Jun-17 19:22:41

Gavin Barwell? Isn't he in Take That?

Tegan2 Sat 10-Jun-17 19:21:42

Elrel; I came back temporarily to answer a specific question that had been put to me and decided to hang around as everything had suddenly become very interesting!

whitewave Sat 10-Jun-17 19:19:55

Gavin Barwell hmm wasn't he involved in the manifesto u- turn? Doesn't fill you with much confidence does it?

Jalima1108 Sat 10-Jun-17 19:12:21

Tegan grin

I do like the British sense of humour, there have been some laughs arising out of a dire situation!

Elrel Sat 10-Jun-17 18:59:47

Tegan - is that you?!

NotTooOld Sat 10-Jun-17 18:32:19

dj - you're right on both counts, of course. I was getting carried away on my vision of Boris and his nanny. grin

GracesGranMK2 Sat 10-Jun-17 18:04:58

Perhaps he could take a nanny to Brussels to keep him in order and make sure his shirt is tucked in.

She could also ensure that he tells the truth. He seems to have had a strange relationship with it so far.

Charleygirl Sat 10-Jun-17 18:04:36

Tegan that is the first and only laugh I have had all day!
