I think Corbyn and his band would be perfect to go to Syria and talk to Isis, he could explain that their actions are very foolhardy, they would surely listen to him, he abhors any violence, says there are other channels to pyrsue, talking settles most disputes, let him put his money where his mouth is. They would hang on his every work and ie ace would prevail. The whole world would be grateful to him, he would get the admiration he seeks, not a knighthood of course, the monarchy would have to go, he would then be President of Great Britain. Our very first.. There are so many trouble spots he could intervene with his own special brand of magic his silver tongue would coax the most dissident.. I would sponsor him.

Well, he's already won the Gandhi peace prize so you could actually say that he is, in fact, already an ambassador for peace. So, perhaps it's not a silly idea at all.

How do you get those emoji things into your posts, whitewave?

I think posts should have an indicator (blue/red) that they are a rant (right or left! - although they seem to be predominantly right..) so that those of us of a different persuasion can be spared even opening them.

Anniebach Tue 27-Jun-17 10:42:21

A post from a Corbynite is part of a discussion, a post from a poster who does not trust him is a rant ?

devongirl Tue 27-Jun-17 10:52:50

ab it is hard to see the original post as anything other than a rant IMO

Ilovecheese Tue 27-Jun-17 10:55:55

devongirl I agree

So well put Luckylegs, we face a real & expanding threat which is so totally different from anything that has gone before & whilst I can agree that talking has its place,we are no where near that stage especially with the likes of Isis
