Very much needed.

First happy thing to report.

Unison have won their case making it illegal to charge employees for employment litigation. Introduced by the Tories in 2013.

The judges quite rightly said it was wrong to make it difficult/impossible for anyone to resort to law.

Those who paid will be reimbursed.

Having no feet on the ground will make life very difficult during the next election.

Good

Kipling had Johnson sussed.

So true

Here is Lord Heseltine - "This government is not governing."

mobile.twitter.com/Stone_SkyNews/status/913522898190598144/video/1

That's the reason for a lot of things now. No-one is actually in charge of anything.

GracesGranMK2 Sat 30-Sept-17 22:29:39

The BBC is saying the government is going to freeze the level of student fees - which they had promised and then gone back on and also to raise the level of income that paying them back starts - which they had promised and then gone back on.

I wonder who will pay for this. It can't be the wealthy because the Tories say it can't and they have taken everything (and still are) from the poor and disabled so I expect attacks on Pensioners next - perhaps frozen Pension Credit?

GracesGranMK2 Sat 30-Sept-17 22:38:53

Oh and she is going to extend help to buy I think they said. Just screw the housing market up a bit more why don't you. We need to ensure there are enough houses where jobs are or jobs where houses are. This will not help!

GracesGranMK2 Sat 30-Sept-17 22:42:53

Headlines in the Sunday Times "Queen misled by broken May" but I am not sure what that is about.

Sunday Mirror - Pro-Life Tory profits from Abortion Pills [JRM]

durhamjen Sat 30-Sept-17 23:08:44

Government definitely lost the plot on this one.

maryeliza54 Sat 30-Sept-17 23:18:54

You really couldn't make it up could you - JRM and abortion pills; BJ and The Road to Mandalay; freezing tuition fees and increasing help to buy. I sense a good few days coming up

FarNorth Sat 30-Sept-17 23:27:36

It leaves satirists with nothing to do, as the Tory government are doing it all themselves.

They were headlines and may prove to be a little different in detail but something tells me ...

Ah the May misled the Queen story is about May saying she had reached a deal with the DUP and it then taking 17 days to do so. Does that mean this government isn't legal? (Tim Shipman in new book)

durhamjen Sat 30-Sept-17 23:44:20

Apparently Rees-Mogg thinks the vatican would be okay about him making money from a company that sells abortion pills. So that's okay, then. Such a hypocrit.

durhamjen Sat 30-Sept-17 23:45:53

The People's Assembly Take Back Manchester festival will really love all this.

Freezing tuition fees after they've just put them up by another £250 a year; what a wheeze.

maryeliza54 Sun 01-Oct-17 09:04:47

There is now such a stench of desperation about TM and this government.

maryeliza54 Sun 01-Oct-17 09:12:15

If JRM really said that the law in Indonesia would satisfy the Vatican he is lying. The law there apparently allows abortion in cases of rape - the Vatican doesn't and JRM certainly doesn't think it's acceptable. This tells us absolutely everything we need to know about this sorry excuse for a man - when it's a choice between making money and followng your principles, then the former wins every time. I'd love to read what his GN supporters who defended him because he was following his principles and beliefs have to say now.

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 09:36:33

JRM is doing what all Tories do. Sell his grandmother if he thought there was money in it.

They know the price of everything but the value of nothing

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 09:37:10

Quite uptight isn't she?

durhamjen Sun 01-Oct-17 09:42:42

You may have to wait a long time, maryeliza.

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 09:46:59

Magic money trees all over the place!!

Help to buy. So that will be clever if nothing is done about supply. We all know that the prices are sky high because of lack of supply - so raising demand without addressing the supply side isn't terribly intelligent.

maryeliza54 Sun 01-Oct-17 09:51:10

Oh really durham ? His supporters on here were so adamant about what a thoroughly moral, ethical decent guy he is, they must want to explain this apparent hypocrisy

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 09:58:38

Yo ho - "never a mistake to give people the opportunity to vote" - straight from the horses mouth!!

We can confidently assume that we will be given the opportunity to vote on the Brexit final decision. At last!!!

durhamjen Sun 01-Oct-17 10:11:46

But Rees-Mogg said it wasn't hypocrisy, maryeliza. Straight from the horse's mouth.

Too many horses in the Tory party!

Help to buy, eh?
