Very much needed.

First happy thing to report.

Unison have won their case making it illegal to charge employees for employment litigation. Introduced by the Tories in 2013.

The judges quite rightly said it was wrong to make it difficult/impossible for anyone to resort to law.

Those who paid will be reimbursed.

She didn't say she would sack Boris, did she, whitewave?

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 10:16:19

No, better in pissing out I suppose, but quite honestly the way they are all behaving at the moment would it matter?

GracesGranMK2 Sun 01-Oct-17 10:20:58

I wish whitewave. I would be happy if she allowed Parliament a vote but I think that may come back to haunt her (hopefully).

If they knew there was to be a vote it might mean we hear less from loud-mouthed buffoons. There is such a sense of "it is our right to govern" with very little to back it up as far as I can see.

GracesGranMK2 Sun 01-Oct-17 10:23:19

Interesting to watch Michael Heseltine who talks about 'changing the song' but this seems to be only about Brexit - no sense that what they are doing to people being wrong.

The feeling on twitter is that May's Marr interview this morning was a total disaster. This is not from my own 'bubble', but from the marr hashtag

twitter.com/hashtag/Marr?src=tren&data_id=tweet%3A914421742059315205

How 'interesting' will their conference be?

MaizieD Sun 01-Oct-17 11:44:10

And this is part of the story about the Queen and May. For 'palace officials' I think we can read 'the Queen'

GracesGranMK2 Sun 01-Oct-17 12:03:02

Listening to Hestletine I think he is saying that they need someone to come forward who takes account of the 48% (mainly young) and not just the 52% (mainly older and old) and looks for an across the EU change in immigration that allows us to stay in. He can't see that person though.

(Love the Yorkshire Commoners Choir!)

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 12:16:44

Yes I thought she was quite dreadful on Marr - shrill without making any real sense

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 12:20:16

With regard to the Queen, I thought at the time that Her Maj would be seriously miffed at Mays total lack of manners and truth. The fact that the Queen wrapped herself in the EU flag said it all I thought.

maryeliza54 Sun 01-Oct-17 12:22:03

I expect the right wing will be criticising Marr for asking questions she couldn't answer very well. Shame on him

GracesGranMK2 Sun 01-Oct-17 12:22:24

Thanks Maisie. I have never got the hang of twitter so it's good to see what is being said.

My eyebrows went quite high reading the May and the Queen piece. No wonder they were annoyed.

GracesGranMK2 Sun 01-Oct-17 12:49:32

This is very off topic but also very funny so I thought I'd risk it especially with this mornings news. My christian values, by Jacob Rees-Mogg

GracesGranMK2 Sun 01-Oct-17 14:08:16

The conference looks awfully empty.

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 14:22:56

Compare Mays panicky Marr interview this morning with Corbyn solid performance last week.

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 14:32:27

gg just had a look. There only seems to be seats in the centre of the hall. The sides are empty.

They are watching a video on the time May lied to the Queen

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 14:36:35

Lack-lustre Green sending them all to sleep

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 14:58:57

How dare he say Labour is the nasty party.

Young Tories have been caught saying of Grenfell "gas the chavs" "shooting peasants"
There were other extremely disturbing messages, which do not bare repeating on here.

These are the potential MPs of the future.

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 15:02:40

Justine Greening shaking the money tree again, just like her illustrious leader did this morning, and just as they did at the election, there is no indication where the money is coming from.

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 15:10:54

Does anyone know why Tory members are not given a choice to debate anything. Perhaps they have no thoughts on the subjects or couldn't care

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 15:12:13

Blimey I think they are all losing the will to live, it is painful.

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 15:16:56

Massive marches outside the hall

Welshwife Sun 01-Oct-17 15:28:26

I think the marches are anti- Brexit ---

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 15:31:19

ww are you watching it? I've never seen anything so dreadful, what has gone wrong?

whitewave Sun 01-Oct-17 15:51:21

Ruth Davis better.

GracesGranMK2 Sun 01-Oct-17 15:53:14

Did they show the LP conference on Sky, BBC News and BBC Parliament all at the same time?
