Just browsing twitter - I see Chapman is back. He reckons that in 18 months time you will be hard pushed to find anyone admitting to voting for Brexit.

Nor sure about that but I do think that you would be hard pushed right now to find a Brexiter who thinks it is all going swimmingly and as easy as they made out pre referendum.

Well, the speech is over, and I expected her to say we are going to stay in.
There was nothing new in it, as far as I could see. All warm words, and whitewash again.

I think this Dan Sabbagh tweet sums it up.

I think there is some significant content there.

I just heard a bit again about the EU residents living here. She said about the changes that will be made before the new regime. A strange word to use. It's normally used for authoritarian, oppressive governments.

So no Canada, no Norway, no Irish border, stay as near to what we've got as possible, our courts will comply with ECJ.

We will continue to pay, and take part in the Single market etc.

UK has not paid extra money etc to the EU - each country pays 1% or 1.5% of GDP - same amount as everyone else and a fair way - countries who pay up the correct amount - pay 2% of GDP to NATO!

Greece and Italy are doing fairly well again now and of course the figures were all juggled to get admission into the EU.

Got to look up the speech now. Not seen any news since Wed evening!

I see May is trying to rewrite history. We have never been comfortable as being part of Europe.
